Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living in Cebu City, Philippines. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my TH-cam Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club President and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
I enjoy watching videos especially singing performances and react to them.
I keep my reactions real and natural.
For Emma to hold her own amongst vocal masters like Floor and Henk is truly incredible. Her voice is so beautiful, so colourful… full of light and shade. This duet is one of the best I’ve heard… ever. Henk really almost nurtured Emma through this. They complimented each other so well. Honestly, if people remove the bias of knowing that Emma mostly does covers on TH-cam they’ll admit she’s amazing.
Aye, she is really good. But I think Henk had to keep back a bit to let her get some sound out. He would have drowned her out if he wasn't also a very good singer who knows what the song demands. She might be better doing solo pieces or with a softer duet partner then Henk.

So beautiful. I rate it as the second best of the duets. Well, nothing beats Phantom, but this is so sweet and the connection between Emma and Henk is just amazing.
I don't think they could have picked a better group of singers for this show. Everyone of them were so good. And I think they ended up genuinely liked each other. This duet was amazing............. :-)
Ann, just think, this was Season Twelve of this show! It made it this far so the stuff in previous seasons must have been very good as well, they are doing something right. An Opera singer covering M&M for instance (but I think you have already seen that one, right?). And there must be SO MUCH MORE that we English speakers don't know about YET! Too bad about Denise's channel...
@@jamescurfman3284 You are so right about the other seasons. But right now I am so upset that the producers of that show took down Denise's hard work. I do not understand it. It got them more attention than they would ever get. I have watched some from the previous seasons, but you don't get the same feelings when you cannot understand what they are saying. The behind the song stories added so much. It is so sad........

First, I unsubscribed from the TH-cam channel, AVROTROS. I hope many others will as well. I want AVROTROS BOYCOTTED for what they did to our angel!
Then I wrote something in the comments section of Floor and Henk's duet, but I warned Floor about it before I did that. I asked if Floor knew about what these people did to Denise's channel. OBVIOUSLY, I let Floor know that I am fully aware that it's not her fault at all.
AVROTROS won't even reply to Denise so she can figure things out, just completely ignoring her! After what she did FOR them! OMG!
Well, I should stop before I overheat myself. lol

It's a very sensitive song and they really hit that aspect! Still gives me the shivers to hear this version from them.
This is one of my favorite duets for sure, ofc Phantom ranks way up there, but this duet stands side by side next to the magic that was the Phantom for me.
Emma indeed has a womanly voice, and pared with the manly voice that is Henk, it gives us chills down our spines, a breathtaking performance. (yes, i call his voice "Henk" now, as a ranking for top quality singing hehehe so.. you can now say "that is so Henk" when telling how good something is :P)
And what i enjoy the most are the smiles throughout and at the end of the performance, Henk is so happy to sing this with Emma, and you can see his pride for Emma too, gawd i truly love this man, i want to adopt him!
And talking about adoption, Emma is very adoptable too hehehe, that voice, that smile, the innocent look in her eyes and ... she is very cute on top of that too (not important, but she is cute).
You're not done with this show yet Nephi, there's just too much good music made this season, literally every singer there, has given us goosebumps more than once, and all of them gave us performances we never expected to see or hear, so yeah, there's still a lot of greatness waiting for you :)

I was wondering when u would get to this song. One of the best songs of the whole show. Breng hem thuis is also amazing, u might not understand the lyrics, but u wont have to. Or Rolf's rendition of All by myself. So much great music in this show

the guy you wanted to know if he was spanisch or potugees is half Dutch, half dominican republik and he lives half time of the year in the Netherlands and the other half of the year in Miami (us) becauce of his paspoort he dos not want to lose his Dutch paspoort he Always sings in spanisch and is very famous in the latin world that is way he live in Miami half of the time his name is Rolf Sanchez ( it is his mothers lastname i belief )

Henk Poort went to conservatory in his early years. normally it is a 6 years course but he did it in 5 years, he skipped one year. So, conservatory plus years of experiences makes him a very professional singer.
I think singers will benefit from studying on a conservatory, it gives them a deeper understanding in instrumental and vocal skills.

Their voices have a great contrast. Her voice is more childish than womanly. There were more great duets in that final episode, react to Samantha and Rolf singing No me ames ( Mark anthony & JLo). Both of them are very emotional singers
