i've always enjoyed listening to cartel. they sound so good when they are playing live! this is quite rare nowadays, especially in their music scene. respect!
This band kicks ass live! A lot of punk/pop bands SUCK live, but Cartel is one of the few that do their records justice when you see them in person! Really underrated band. Great job!
Well if you think about it, most bands do 3 guitar parts in their recordings. You dont need them playing all at the same time always, but you have a rhythm track and another rhythm track and a lead plucking the melody sometimes. Green Day, All Time Low, and other pop punk bands do this quite often actually. Notice the lead singer doesn't even play half the time because the other 2 guitarists pick up most of the playing slack. Also like I said it makes it easier for the lead singer like that.

@xhead246 And I'm saying that they drop tune in the studio to make it easier for Will to sing. Granted, they're a great band but they tune their instruments for him. He doesn't tune his voice for their instruments.
THE ONLY PUNK ROCK BAND THAT PLAYS ALL OF THEIR SONGS LIVE IN THE ORIGINAL KEY OF THE RECORDING!!!!!!!!!! My first son is having "Cartel" as his middle name. I absolutely love these guys!! Rock on Cartel...rock on.
why does his voice sound exactly like the voice of "all time low" "boys like girls" or other pop punk bands? Its cool but I noticed that during some videos...
they ARE good live. but just because sumone has pitch correction on there voice doesnt mean the notes will be perfect especialy in this case where its on the singers voice live and not pulled up to the perfect pitch like in a studio setting. iv been mixing and mastering for years now so its easy for me to pick up. its how i make my money my friend lol

He is using auto tune, there's no question, most sessions like these nowadays usually produce the music before releasing the video (hence why most pitch correction is very subtle now) but in this video they're running live auto tune, lots of snaps, he started getting a sloppy, because it is somewhat subtle, but live auto tune will snap the instant you let out an impurity that's why it's less obvious in the beginning he was singing pretty spot on for awhile, 2:46 is an example, he most likely started going flat, so it snapped to next lower note on the scale it's set in, but he saved it pretty fast.
