Just came from the Turf Club in St Paul and the Blacks Lips ended the set with this and goddamn it was like a perfectly timed, desperately needed decadent anthem that was so amazing and cathartic, the whole house was bouncing and signing along. So lucky to be there.

I love the ever evolving sound of The Black Lips from psychedelic, garage, pop punk ( bad kids) , the Wu-Tang shaolin sound off 200million thousand and now old school country sound.

No I don't think so because she passed away, that would have made it depressing. So this worked out perfect. It's like she dreams of a gentleman, her idea not ours and he's not a gentleman but maybe he'd like to try out being one someday. Its different cuz they don't meet ,life's not a fairy tale

After lead guitar and drummer left, this band died time ago. why in the world we need another country sound like album from this band that used to be so great?
Death is an illusion, it is change that is constant. Nothing ever really ends, it is just forgotten or becomes something new and possibly unrecognizable. I don't know if they do it on purpose of if they're just unconsciously competent, but BL are masters of change, and of reminding. From Goddess Bunny to Noc-a-homa to Bad Kids their work awakens memories on the brink of oblivion. Memories of things that are part of the uninspected foundation of who some of us are. And while change is the way, there is comfort in knowing the past you come from was real at one time. Also, I'm f*cked if I ever heard a country album quite like this one. Strong medicine in this band.
TRUE... I was a huge fan of them, but this album and the other 2 since Joe and Ian left have been HORRIBLE, it's pretty much a completely different band
This song is as good, if not better, than anything that Waylon and the Posse, ever wrote. Jeff Clarke's guitar-playing on this track is wicked and superb. Very extra-ordinary just like the roving gypsy himself. A guy that I miss seeing every day or hanging out with and just playing his guitars or getting beat by him in a Chess game. As it is, I don't think very logically and I'm not quite as Smart as him in life or in trying to making living by playing music which is creating art. I am not really that good at anything especially relationships. love, or making money.
