Hi Richard. I'd be super interested to see and hear more about how you mange the hardening off process at this time of year for the crops you're planting out. I find it quite a challenge just with my allotment and back garden and would love to see how you scale that up and adapt to sudden cold snaps like we had here in Scotland over the last week or so. Cheers.
Funny how this video came up on my autoplay list in December! But its something I've only recently been wondering about if and how I could pump water out of a pond, so that is super. In India, drilling bore wells has been endemic in rural farms as well as urban buildings for decades and as a result the ground water table has fallen drastically. I live on the outskirts of the city limit where rainwater harvesting only means catching water off the rooftops. A few villages in the hinterland facing severe droughts have been digging ponds but I'm trying to see if I can do it on a small property.
The cultivation of asparagus would be really something for you. The ground seems (remotely) suitable. Low maintenance and high yield. Ground enough so see.
Again, amazing content that you share. Where is the patreon account? :) I do have a similar water setup but in a mineatur scale compared to yours. However; my pump keeps bugging me (but mostly my wife) so i'm curious what brand and model number you have (maybe even where one can buy it). Since this is my second pump that keeps being an asshole, I really do have to ask where to look for decent tools. (i also live in Sweden)
sure you cant make your vidios much shorter, would be nice if you had a lot more detail on the setting an set up, brands an so on, hardly worth watching foe a min worth, the intro is always longer
Thank you so much for sharing the everyday progress of the farm, you don't know how inspiring they are keep up the great work.
thx for the continued inspiration, you are where i want to be in about 10-20 years, more land and more off-grid.

why don't you use driplines to irrigate your rows. Wouldn't it be more efficient use of water?
That is rich black soil in the garden.
Is it your practice to let birds eat grass until you get naked ground? I am hearing different opinion from J. Salatin the god.
