Malaysian engineering are not capable doing the job. Miscalculated happend on modification in their gowind. More over the corruption in the procurement of this class very devastating.
To be fair it’s the local shipyard fault RMN still don’t receive their Gowind not Naval Group. We actually should do like the Egyptian order where the first vessel build in France while others build in Egyptian shipyard. This local shipyard is to greedy to built all 6 ships opps I mean 5 now there. Looks what happen, 10 years and not a single ship been delivered to RMN. 😭😭😭
As a singaporean I used to laugh at Malaysian political scandals, but now because it happen so frequently. I really starts to feel bad for the Malaysians. Good luck you guys need it.

What i don't understand, is that greece is partner of the EPC, European Patrol Corvette program, while still interested in Gowind. I think the two platform serves the same role.

What are the chances France finally orders Gowind? Say Gowind2500 (ffbnw or in combat OPV config or literal OPV config) for the Orves replacements. Say Gowind3100 or heavier ver for the Floreal replacements
Not planned, since France is working with other Euro countries on the EPC for that role. Not sure if that is the wisest decision. Afterall Gowind is a mature design in operational service, while EPC is still on the drawing board (as well as complex multi-national program with usual workshare squabbles, differing design needs, delays etc...). Time will tell.

Most of Europe might only go for the usual threats as basis for EPC, while France has to think more about swarming vessels & other asymmetric threats that are to be expected in their Indian-Pacific territories, maybe the Caribbean too eventually, & possibly the narrow seas of ME. That said, similar situations are only found in the UK; maybe Germany, Netherlands, Canada too to certain extents. Wondering why France & UK aren't partnering in matters they have in common
How about PhN cancel their 6 hdp2400 OPVs deal & redirect its budget to 3 additional improved hdf3100 frigates. Then restart 6 OPVs project & pick Gowind2500 platform as one of the options with 4 to be locally built; Naval Group already offered local production of 1 of the 2 previous corvettes/frigates project according to MD, so how much more to OPVs. If France did offer assistance for 4 locally built OPVs out of 6, what a wasted offer. PhN picked colonial mentality, betrayed PH

Should one wishes more than 8 anti-ship missiles..... one buys a frigate or a destroyer. Corvettes are compact designs suitable for specific "closed" waters
The Moskva cruiser with its 120 missiles whose 16 of surface to surface have been sunk by only 2 neptune missiles because the 120 missiles and thousand of shell inboard have fired the cruiser as a match.
Not even Naval Group fault 😂 Should blame Bousted for their greed n corruption. Why not the first 2 ship build by Naval Group then the rest build by Bousted instead???

Nil, France navy not interested & skip Gowind class (outdated). Only had 1 OPV built by naval group for demonstration purposes only
