Holy cow Mike. I know you were excited to get that home, but I think If I were you, I would have made a quick stop at the gas station to get a lottery ticket after that find 👀
Love a good marketplace score. I just hauled a load home myself. My load was too much cottonwood though, not nearly the deal you got. Yup I’d buy that too!
Hi Mike, I just wanted to say I just subscribed to your channel and found it. I'm a Fellow TH-camr myself. I just wanted to let you know that looks good. I'm a fellow of Nebraska's western part of the state, and I'm also a fellow firewood seller. I process my own firewood. I've just been looking for more wood to get. I can keep up with everything.
now that is a great find.. I found a tree service this spring that cuts up into rounds too and i go over and get a grain truck full for 40 bucks. I think i hauled out 240 loads this summer from him.. its not hard to say yes ill take it..
Got a guy near me who does the same thing- sells facecord racks of Ash rounds for $50 a pop on Marketplace. I've seen others do it, too. Been mighty tempted, but a few miles further is my regular firewood guy- and his is split, dry, and inc oak, beech, sugar maple, etc too. One of these days, lol.
Nice that it all got hauled to your woodyard. That would take a full day or 2 of just chucking rounds if u had to do it by hand. Im seperating my dry ash from my wet mixed hardwoods. Makes sense to keep the driest wood separate to sell 1st. No one pays you while the firewood is drying u only get paid when its finally delivered dry to the customers. Good score. If its profitable its a good investment. I bought 24 cords of ash and haven't got to them yet bc of the 60+ cords of trees i logged last winter and all the tree removal jobs we did this year. Have over 100 cords of firewood logs to log this winter 4 properties with our forwarder and 3pt logging winch. Definitely don't need to buy more logs next year unless i can get cherry or Hickory 12 cords at a time. Gonna have to find a firewood processor to rent to get all my current logs split and piled high for next year. I got 455 for $50, i have 2 460s that i hardly run anymore .i run my 572xpg Mostly and my 661 3ft bar for. big logs. My brother's got a 500i, 262, 2 562xps ,m18 battery saw and m18 polesaw and like 5 top handle saws for in the lift. I have 540i top handle thats great when im climbing trees. Never can have enough firewood it all sells eventually 🪵🪓🔥
good job.i went a year without getting any logs but in oct,nov the tree service brought about 30 full coards of logs. my little yard is full.thats about 2-3 years for me.
