    Issa Bagayogo is a veritable singer from Mali. He play both traditional and modern music in west africa, specialy in Mali. Thank you Issa and good luck for your carry

    The video is from a live recording called: Roots & Routes (2003).
    I'm sorry but I've no idea where it was filmed, though as he speaks in French (between songs), and with the guitar riffs, you may well be correct about Canada.
    And the guitarist is the great Mama Sissoko.

      +Baba Throbule Baba, what is Issa doing these days? I played with him here in Seattle years ago. I love his music, but have not heard anything for years. Thanks for posting !

      It's a pleasure Randy.
      As far as I know, he is still working, or at least he was in July and August in Mali.
      I heard a rumour there was another album due, but this being Africa, details are hard to come by.
      If I hear any news, I will be sure to post it.
