There is definitely something to be said for material science. However, blacksmiths of old were probably significantly more skilled as this was their daily livelihood.
Niels you're a Googler, right? Here's some interesting phenomenon I only see when displaying your videos on m Pixel 3: as soon as I scroll by one of your videos in the TH-cam app my display turns slightly warmer. This is especially noticable when night mode is turned on.
@@NielsProvos You're right it happens with other HDR-videos, too. Thanks for the hint! Also thanks for your videos. Your's and the ones of the primitive technology channel are always instant watches for me.
This channel is criminally underrated
A beautiful blade and masterful work.
Nice, let see finish work with handle!!!)
I'll post photos.
Wow... that's a beautiful pattern! :-o
Very nice! I really like the pacing in your videos. But not the length between them :)
I hear you. It's hard to get shop and video time at the moment.
That came out so beautifully! Makes me wish I had some Viking heritage so I'd have an excuse to commission one...
Glad you liked it.
Nice job
Amazing work! Your an inspiration. Can you substitute rebar (higher carbon content) for wrought iron? For you patern welds?
I would be worried about the rebar being pretty random steel; so you don't really know what you might be getting.
@@NielsProvos thanks, and continue the amazing work!
Very beautiful and great job making it!!!! What do you think about the coffee etch ??
Enjoyed your video and gave it a Thumbs Up
I have not tried it. I will play with it on a knife. I wonder how durable it is.
been here at least three years first time i have ever seen you talk on camera lol :-0
I don't like it all that much. However it certainly makes the videos all appear a little anonymous. What's your take on it?
Hello there. Long time no see
It’s cool that you do this and are clearly in cyber environments. Me also, I’m just nit as versed as you.
It's a good way to balance things.
If you got sent back in time, would you be able to forge better stuff than the blacksmiths of the day because of your modern day knowledge?

That's pretty funny but I am no longer at Google :-) It might be because they are HDR videos.
