Then again, I should have known better than to believe everything I see on the internet to begin with, haha. Also something off of Ember would have been cool indeed but I think In Waves also makes perfect sense for finishing off an Ascendancy set, seeing how it was mostly a return to the drop tuned metalcore of Ascendancy after a couple of decidedly "pure" and proggish metal records. And at least it's not something even newer and more popular like The Heart From Your Hate or World Goes Cold (which I do love but would sound very much out of place here).
@@YippiCola Ohhhh i'm so sad ... i will see them next week in Paris, Blinding Tears is my Trivium fav song ever ... :( but i'm sure i will have a fucking great time ! thx for your info :)
@YippiCola i think it's just time issues, the 75m set time has to include things like crowd interaction and the drum solo + Monty ascending reveal. If they just play the album from start to finish with no interruptions they can fit in the B side. Maybe in one of the leg with less openers (US or Australia perhaps).
@thiagogabriel6002 No problem mate. Trivium have never disappointed me when I've seen them and watching this set was just sublime. Ascendancy is still my favourite Trivium record 🤘🏻
Just epic! Followed Trivium since Ascendancy album release, 2005 feels all over again! Trivium are fire with this opening tour performance 🔥🔥🔥. Thank you for uploading bro! Hope you enjoyed every second of it🤘🤘🤘
@MattBannister35 mate, from the getgo I had goosebumps witnessing this show. I travelled from the other side of the country to be there and damn, worth every minute. Ascendancy is still my favourite Trivium record and absolutely awesome hearing them play it all 🤘🏻

I really, I mean REALLY hope this new technique is 100% healthy. He says it is, but training at home and performing on tour are different things. It's so weird to see Trivium willfully give their drummer a dedicated spot for a drum solo. The only other instance this has happened was with Travis. Paul also did one in one of his first shows with them, but he was only filling the downtime due to a power outage in that show.
Sure, it would be awesome to see him join Trivium for a song or two but it's him who did not manage to keep his relationship with Trivium nice and clean. Also, he's pretty much retired; zero meaningful activity since 2009. Yes, that local amateur band he was in with his now deceased best bro Brent Young does not count.
After the bitch fest Travis pulled in the Shogun documentary over recording two additional songs that the band was CONTRACTED to do so by their record label, the chances of that happening are next to none
Was a brilliant night, I'm not personally a B4MV fan and thought Trivium blew them off stage quite frankly, I was surprised Trivium closed the night unlike the night before being that Bullet are Welsh ?

@s.k.g7407 I liked the difference in n stage show, the lasers and TV screens were good I will say this, I always found the Poison quite poppy for a metal album, very much of its time, you could release Ascendency tomorrow and it would turn heads, it holds up, for me the best song Bullet played was Knives from the latest album which for me is the best thing they've released start to finish Bullet are a different band to Trivium, who are just power and aggression and technical Wizards, and unfortunately for Bullet, Sylosis are joining the US leg of the tour and they're a beast of a band too Bullet will be happy to get out and play the new stuff after this 😂
@@ANDREWHALL28- I've never been into Bullet, and only started listening to them after buying tickets for this last year. The song I liked best was also Knives, which I'd not heard before. Gotta be honest. I gave Matt a lot of negative comments on his live vocals, but I like this performance. Seems like he really stepped up his game!
