  • Sometimes we experience powerful and cathartic emotional release while in hypnosis. This is always done in safe, loving container at True Nature Hypnotherapy.
In this session, Andrea does some deep healing work by relying on the wisdom, intelligence, and creativity of her subconscious mind. Notice how I keep things open and allow her to fill in the details that will be the most impactful and meaningful for her.

Have you ever done hypnosis for someone with BPD?

I have. However, I prefer to work with people with diagnosed bipolar disorder in close cooperation with their mental health provider or team on a case by case basis.

Hi Donald! Thanks for your question. I'm happy to chat with you privately over a Zoom call:

In general, anxiety is a response centered in our sympathetic nervous system. It's basically our fight-flight-freeze response gone out of control. Under normal conditions this response is good, it protects us from danger. The problem comes when the body doesn't "turn off" alert mode when the danger has passed. This is a subconscious process. No one is consciously saying, "Hey I think I'll be anxious today for no clear reason.". Hypnosis is all about getting in touch with the subconscious mind. Since this is a subconscious problem it requires a subconscious solution. So yes, this process can be very effective when working through anxiety.
