I have always loved this movie, I own it on DVD lol. Was even better when I saw this episode of the antique road show. Thanks for this upload!!! A definite save for my collection!!!
many people see the fairies in the world today - the faeries are quite able to see us and feel the purity and love present in our energy field - those with energy fields darkened by low vibrations (eating meat, watching violent images, listening to harsh music, etc.) would not have much chance to connect with this more beautiful and harmonious world
anyone that has common sense will say those were paper cutouts. fairys may be real. but i think if they were real they would not show themselves. but how did the idea of "fairies" come along? maybe someone saw one and drew them? i just don't see hpw someone can make up a story about a fairy if they had not seen one. but who knows?
According to Conan Doyle, he called many 'photoshop' experts at the time, and the photos were all done in such a way that the shadows of the paper cutouts and the hat pins can't be seen because of the outdoor lighting -think the blue black /white gold dress photo! The color value of the pins and the shadows of the cutouts were the same as the background, making them 'invisible'. Creating the effect that the fairies were really suspended in mid-air. So he had to assume the photos were genuine, because no other processing effect at the time could've produced the same result given the same time span and budget that the girls had-they tried successfully to recreate the effect with studio 'photoshop' but that took budget time and equipment the girls didn't have. He did state that for the viewers, the proof either all add up or all fall down, in his publication 'The coming of the fairies'.
Xanos Knightshade they didn't. ...They cut out paper shapes and stood them up with hat pins. The girls told how they did it. It's not rocket science. It's like me throwing a Frisbee, taking a photo and saying it's a ufo. Years later I confess they are fakes but you state they were genuine. Insanity.
Paris Turner well the original negatives had signs of tampering. If they were tampered with, this would have been done in a darkroom. Anyone with a darkroom who tampered with the other images could easily have done a double exposure leading to the image being transparent. If the first 4 are fakes....its incredibly likely the 5th is too.
Paris Turner as for the trasparancy, the paper cut outs held up with long hat pins fluttered in the breeze and showed up transparent in the exposure. Elsea admitted this before she died in a filmed interview. Watch Arthur c Clarkes mysterious world episode on the subject. It all on there.

Yes they were, watch the video.

So surreal.
I believe fairies are real but lmao these are drawn and cutouts.
Nope - just trying to save face towards the end - the fifth photo is fake too.
I didnt see anything in the 5th photo
She said they are fake. Can't you see that?
Mary Farmer They claim 1 was real lol...the last one.
She said the fifth one was real. Are you stupid?
I believe there are such creatures. This case was a blag though.
I am curious who originated images of fairies ....
Can you explain more? The children did...
They copied them from a story book.
Frances daughter have a children?
She has 4 children and 6 grandchildern
Fairies exist they really do! Margaret Tarrant and Cecily Mary Barker saw them I'm sure!
For skeptics: making a transparent image on a Victorian camera required skill that two children could not that produced.

Paris Turner guess she tried to claw on to an ounce of integrity right to the end but there is no doubt all these images were fakes.

They are real..no doubt.
Why is so much attention given to this absolute rubbish.
