Swimming at Romsey Rapids with a CathDry

A couple of weeks ago, Luke and I were kindly invited to Romsey Rapids Sports Complex to test out the CathDry dressings in their pool…
This was Luke’s first time using a CathDry, so it was great to share the experience with him, and to see the impact these dressings have on someone else. We were both in the water for 45minutes; swimming lengths, slashing in the rapids and zooming down the flume… and not once did either of our dressings leak 🤙🏻
The good old saying ‘You never realise the true value of something until you lose it’ couldn’t be more true!!… Losing the freedom to go swimming for 7 years, as a result of having a central line, has been soul destroying at times… and Luke has felt exactly the same. He too hasn’t been able to swim and has missed being in the water, but thanks to the Romsey Rapids Sports Complex and the CathDry dressing, Luke was able to get back in the pool for the first time in over a year, and this video captures it all!! 😀
The sense of freedom you get in the water is simply magical when it’s been something you’ve longed for. But what’s even more special than that… is when you get to share the experience with your friends…
