I was honestly worried about this game for a few reasons but I'm glad the Leafs got the victory. Lets hope they can continue this at home on Tuesday, although I'm even more worried now

Lots of Leafs fans at the game tonight. As a Bay Area based Leafs fan, I always dread attending this game as its usually the last game as part of the California trio (3 games in 4 nights most years). Great win and California sweep by the buds. Hoping the Raps can do the same the next 4 nights against the Warriors, Lakers, and Clipppers. :-)
This was a one sided game from the start. Blackwood tried his best to keep the sharks in it, and unfortunately is left with a sub .900 save percentage on the night. An old friend Martin Jones, who is being paid 3 million dollars by the sharks this season (more than their actual goalies), came in and bit them. Got a chance to get them back in a couple days
Exactly the Sharks goalies are always doing most of the job saving the games the front players should start making a better job at shooting

This is why we are the best franchise because we have so many fans in away arenas. Also we're #1 revenue or atleast top #5 every year. I pay $1000s to go to a leafs game and struggle to pay my bills cause that's how loyal we are.
We paid $60 bucks for each ticket upper bowl tonight, partially because the Sharks are awful this year. Lots of empty seats tonight at the Shark Tank. Cheaper for you to attend a Leafs game flying to San Jose + tickets than a game in Toronto. :-)

The Leafs have found a way to play very well better consistency. Nylander, Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Jarnkrok, Knies, Domi, Bertuzzi, Rielly, Benoit, Jones.... they're all on fire right now. And, I really hope they re-sign Benoit to a 3-year $1 million contract.
I feel for Blackwood on that final play. Robbed Nylander on the first shot, but Willy played the second part brilliantly

The leafs still have about 6m with klingberg and Sammy out.
They're getting what they need...good goaltending. But one goalie can't carry the team for long. If Woll comes back soon and gets up to speed in short time, and Jones continues playing like he has, this team is going to rise in the standings quickly. If, and it's a big if, the D can improve, they'll be a team to be reckoned with during the playoffs.
This road trip saved Keefe's job for at least the next few months.

Leafs never fail to give their fans hope before disappointing them, a 3 game road trip with 3 wins, that's the hope, they have to choke their season away at home in front of their fans and there's no better team to start the annual choke against than the visiting Sharks with the worst record in the league and an 11 game losing streak to kick it off.
I'm not a Sharks fan, I have money on the Canes going to the Finals in the East just being realistic based on 57 seasons of the Leafs following the same script and expecting different results, the very definition of insanity.

I looked into getting Maple Leafs tickets. It reminded me why I just stopped watching Hockey. $500 to $800 per person for anything ground level. Even the first balcony was $400 to $700 per person. Hockey has become a joke! It's for rich people now. Imagine spending $2500 to take your family to the game! And those are standard seat prices not resale!!!! The Leafs can kiss my ass!

That was one guy. Everyone in the crowd cheered on their losing team. No boos or no one leaving early. Sharks fans showed up. During intermissions, the Sharks fans were out dancing for the cameras and cheering for their teams. It was nice energy.

Nylander 11.5 , the leafs will buuld around willy and Auston and let marner walk because little boy Mitch won't allow Nylander to get a bigger salary and the leafs can't afford it. They chose one and it was willy which was smart. Matthews can play with anyone and Nylander and Tavares can drive like 2 and knies will stay with Auston and the other guy we get with the 11 million we get when Mitch walks and we will get some good defence too.
Absolutely shut them the f*** down, Willy will be getting MASSIVELY overpaid unfortunately at the expense of Marner or Tavares at 4M MINIMIUM, if Tre does this correctly. Marner is NOT hard to play against at all proved it 7 times over and over ESPECIALLY in the Florida series, lest we forget the MONTREAL series. Stats speak for themselves Marner has as many pucks over glass as he does goals in the playoffs!!! Treliving will do whatever it takes to make this team feared and hard as hell to play with the philosophy of checking instead of puck movement and offensive zone time compared to his counter part Dubas. With that being said Dubas was a hell of a GM for this team breaking record numbers, wish we still had him, BUT, with the philosophy of playing a hard checking game along with the insane skill we already have should make for a lethal combo when 2025-26 rolls around. we WILL get the cup without Marner or Tavares MARK these words.
