I adopted a cat she was found in a box poor little thing the people sent the kitty to a foster home with her sister we adopted one of them and named her marbles she is healthy and well same with her sister we heard and when they purr it means there happy

I’ve had cats for 60 years of my life along with dogs. Wilfred is a keeper, brilliant cate, a tad over fed, but your bet will advise you 😂 Over the years all our cats have been brilliant members of our family, we have enjoyed them all. Most came from abusive families or found. Highest count was 7 cats and 3 dogs + our 3 children. Dogs, cats & children all going in different directions. Every furry member of our household has a story, but their past is passed and their life with us is pretty darn good. We have actually had a holiday for 40 years because neither the Wife or myself can leave the animals in anyone else’s care. They grow on you. Currently our household consists of 2 dogs, 2 cats, 100 birds + 3 grandchildren and their parents. Saddest part is saying goodbye, none our fur babies have passed alone, they went in our arms, the last to go closed the vet, they loved him so much, my daily companion for 19 years, the final 5 or 6 he was totally blind and relied on me (and I relied on him). The vet staff all came into the room, we all cried, we all nurses him although he passed in my arms, they all said goodbye. I said “never again” but is wasn’t all that long until my Wife came in crying and she had a lump under her jacket. She said “you’re going to hate me.” She opened her jacket and a little head popped out. I gently grabbed little Possum off her and shoved her straight up my shirt on my heart, sat down and takes very quietly to her, wasn’t long and she popped her head out and licked my neck, she was home. From my experience with OSPCA they come dewormed, spay/neutered, and with all updated shots. When I adopted Wilfred he was only 10 weeks old so he was still missing his last round of deworming and rabies & booster shot since they get those at around at 16 weeks. So I went to the vet to get those done! The shelter will send you their full health record so my vet just took a look at that and told me what else he needed. Also, they don’t come with pet insurance, you will have to get that separately.
