Really cool having Grubby co-casting! That dude's insight into the psychology of this game is unmatched. Very fun series to watch!
I liked Star hiding the Griffins on the last fight until the Gargs were thinned out. A lot of players would just try to bring all their forces for the big fight but without Griffins, Gargoyles were kind of a dead weight and once they died to long range rifles, human air force could arrive and turn the tides.

I think the takeaways from this series are:
1. That Riflemen are a good unit. Every Starbuck win, he went rifles. The two losses had no rifles.
2. Expanding too quickly is very risky if the opponent is on top of punishing it - again, all 3 wins had very delayed expansions. The opportunity cost of making the extra workers and expansion in the early game is very significant in this match up.
mass tier 1 ranged units is his strategy to win in this tournament, that's why he played orc and human, so he can abuse headhunter and rifleman in the best way. He lost easily vs Soin when Soin know what he's up to.
I think #1 is suspect, we will have to see. I think it worked because Happy didn't adapt. If it keeps working I am curious to see if UD and specifically Happy can find a counter. If not though then Human is looking strong.

Great casting idea! I only managed to catch the last game yesterday and Bucky did amazing there, good to be able to see how he developed his strat all the way to PalaRifle.
Also I actually didn't know RHotzenplotz was his alt, I remember watching Grubby play against him with that name and I was totally unaware it was the Slovenian King.

4:05 - taping the corners of your mousepad is done to prevent the mouse cable from snagging onto the edges of your mousepad, and potentially getting into an annoying tugging position.
I've also done this to my mousepads several times after getting tired of this event occurring. So I agree with the decision to simply do it every time.

Out of 16 games played on this tournament by all ud players they got eliminated by:
1 hu player
1 Ud player
1 multiple race player
The way bracket was created was unlucky for ud. Out of 3 ud players it was guaranteed that 2 would be in lower bracket eliminating each other , before reaching semi finals…

In any case this is first t1 tournament where ud lost. Still reached grand final though

And the other T1 tournaments this year, ra ra land and stars war, were also conquered by a human player. Stars war had an even greater cash prize than betboom. Do not try to gaslight people.

Ofc i mean first t1 tournament lost on this patch. When we are talking about current game balance we don’t talk about games played on other patches this is trivial and i thought it was obvious… so lets fact check your statements:
1. Bet boom season 1 which you mentioned was played on previous patch so - your argument is wrong…
2. Ra ra land neither happy nor 120 lost a single game. You know why? They physically couldn’t play. That is why i said ud losing to hu so in conclusion- you are wrong
3. All star was a team tournament… saying that hu won that tournament is meaningless . By same logic that tournament was won by orc and also by ne … in conclusion- you are wrong

But sure let's gaslight people with "not this patch" statement while truth is that no significant balance changes were made to broken human vs undead matchup (maybe the significant healing scrolls nerf wich killed any gargoyle strategy). Water elementals and gyros are still insanelly broken. This community is made of old players bro. No one will fall for your bullshit statements.
