    On the 105mm shocks can you take the top spring out for more droop?

      Not telling, huh? I think proline would be crazy to not come out with several different cage designs.

    My car has 80mm shock absorbers. installing these 95mm, will increase the height between wheel and body? or can it be adjusted to stay the same?

    • @ProLineRacingYT
      @ProLineRacingYT  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      with the 90-95mm shocks you can probably achieve a very similar ride height by adjusting your spring compression, we also offer a 70-75mm version of this that might be even closer for you. check them out here:

    When a guy is new like me better off buying cheap Chinese shocks that are filled with oil

  • @LonerSurfer
    @LonerSurfer 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I use the extended length shocks on my MOA too. I use Axial Capra 13mm X 70mm for single rate springs. I wish Proline would sell or guide us to the proper springs for both dual and single rate

    I just recently bought these shocks for my 10.2. I used 30wt oil and these things leak like crazy. They're not overfilled, hydrolocking or anything. Just normal trailing and I can't keep oil in these things to save my life. Very disappointed and for $140 I was expecting silky smooth with no leaks. This ruined proline shocks forever for me. If you like very expensive, gritty, leaky shocks, then these are for you. If you want silky smooth shocks that don't leak, anything but these. I will probably just throw them away. No sense in trying to get a refund or sell them off.

    • @SnarkyRC
      @SnarkyRC ปีที่แล้ว

      Using Team Associated Green Slime grease on the bottom seals fixes the leaking problem. 👍

    Really cool shocks... gonna try to get a pair of 90-95mm for my trx4. What oil would you recommend? I’m also running the 1966 Chevy C10 body. Thanks!

    • @ProLineRacingYT
      @ProLineRacingYT  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Thank you for the question. We like to use 40-60 weight oil depending on the weight of the crawler. This may seem thick but since it's an emulsion shock, it needs some air in the oil to compensate for the shaft volume. When the air is mixed in during operation, it makes the oil effectively 20-30 points thinner.

    • @User22435
      @User22435 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pro-Line Racing thank you so much! I’ll be sure to pick up some of these soon. Maybe start with 40 and go up. Thanks again!

    Either finish designing the upper shock mount, or include a pair of washers with each set. I shouldn't have to provide my own mounting hardware on a pair of $60 shocks.

    They look awesome but I barely saw them flexing while the truck was driving. At 1:21 was the best view of them. In all other shots, they looked stiff as a mo fo

    Is the shaft seal supposed to be taken out and put into the top cap threads on the top aluminum threads.
    My hobby shop says that is how they are made by proline.
    This video shows me that is not the case. Is this true who’s right
    Tell me my local hobby shop guys doing his job.

    Stop being busy making ads you should make a video that explains how I fill these things with oil all the videos you have are different kinds of shocks and their all threaded on the outside and they all have bleeder holes and I don't know what I'm doing and these shocks suck

    Man these came out this long ago and I still don't have a set. I have some really nice proline power strokes on my slash 4x4, they are downright invincible. Take more abuse than anything else I own and never leak.

      Hello Manuel, I do not see the specifications for the exact length of the shocks for the exceed kit listed on their website. however, by looking at it, I would guess that they are the 105mm-110mm length, so part number #6316-02

    Purchased these in 90 to 95mm version. Filled with 50 wt oil to spec. Within 10 mins of running my scx10 around my flat front yard, all 4 are leaking. Pretty disappointed at the price and still leak. I had same problem with the first scaler shocks from proline. Was hoping for a "New and improved " shock. The shocks look great but functionality, hmmm? I emailed proline just now so we shall see what happens. I will update on my situation. Thanks
