Someone in my neighborhood has a fluffy black and white cat that looks a lot like a Siberian. When I go for a walk in the evening, the cat runs up to me and makes a melodious trilling noise. I think it's his way of saying "hello", like a friendly neighbor.
Aww! You should play with him he would highly enjoy that, also taking them on walks every now and then like I do with My Siberian would make him happy And can help with the jump scares!
Mine likes to scare me too! When it's all silent in the house at night, she suddenly runs in the bathroom where I am brushing my teeth...she also likes to stay still somewhere until I am always near her and then she starts running away...very humourous, sweet and somewhat diva breed 😻 they know they're beautiful
@@fkdk4536 why compare dogs and cats? They’re different species. I have a Husky I wanted a cat but hell my dog was being abused by my brother. My dog made me lose much weight. Help me with depression, and anxiety. Both animals are good. If you don’t wanna be a fatass get a dog. If you do get a cat.
It's my first to be so affectionate with cats..because of these awesome Siberian breed...they are so warm and very entertaining especially in the morning when they come to wake you up persistently😅 love these furballs!
I lost my wonderful Karma 18 months ago. After showing a few photos in a Facebook group, I was told my Karma was a Siberian and after watching this video, I know he was. He had all the characteristics, both physical and personality-wise. I've missed Karma so much, and now I know what to look for when I adopt again. Thanks so much for posting this video!
So sorry for your loss, it is so hard to deal with the passing of a beloved pet. We are glad you found the video helpful, thank you for watching and commenting!
Our neighbour has one these cats , the cat came over nearly every day when I was recovering from shoulder surgery to keep me company they're very social indeed.
All cats are fabulous, but cold-climate forest cats are in a league of their own. The Silver Siberian is arguably the most beautiful of them all. If you've ever seen one, you'll know what I mean.
My husband was adopted by a Siberian cat named Mister Chubbs. He was the coolest, sweetest, most loving, dog in a cat, best damn cat I ever had the pleasure of being a cat Mom to. He was deaf too, so you could sneak up on him, and he would trill so loud. What a great breed!!!
I ended up with my Siberian on accident. He was once a member of the booming stray population in the small town my parents moved to. They spent the summer providing food and such and then, one day in late fall, my mom was finally able to pick him up and bring him inside. Well, the incumbent cat didn't like him, so he was "given" to me. Even having grown up around cats, I was NOT prepared for this breed. Needy is an understatement. He literally sits on the table and watches for me to home from school and the way he follows me everywhere cracks me up sometimes... especially when I've made more than two trips to the same room because I keep forgetting something. He's only 4ish but I'm going to be so crushed when he passes away... I generally detest the idea of going to a breeder and advocate for adopting from a shelter. But I'm now a loyal convert to owning Siberians, so if I can't find one in a shelter I'll find a breeder. That luxurious coat is enough by itself to make me seek them out.
He sounds like a great cat! Ours do some of the same things. We are not against getting cats from a breeder. It is always a great thing to get a pet from a shelter if that is a decision that makes sense for you, but there are many reasons people go for a pure bred cat that a lot of people don't consider, so we do not like how it is often demonized by those in support of animal shelters. Just for a few examples, some people do not like to support "kill" type shelters, some people have allergies where hypoallergenic breeds make it possible to have a pet (like Siberian cats and Samoyed dogs), and when you get a cat from a breeder, there are lower instances and chances for them to get certain diseases and physical issues if the genetics have been monitored properly. There are other reasons, but just goes to show not all people who buy from breeders are people who just care about the way a certain breed looks. Although Siberians do have that going for them, as well! Thanks for watching and commenting. Much love to you and your Sib!
@@KitsuneSiberianForestCats "Detest" was a bit strong and poor word choice on my part. I'm in the middle of the grind and, dare I say, some what inhumane schedule that is required of US medical students. It was 4 AM going on 36 hours awake and my fatigued brain just grabbed the first word that worked. I'm not against breeders, as whole. A fellow student actually breeds dogs (I forget which breed, ) and the business is covering a lot her tuition. It would be more accurate to say I " frown upon" going straight to a breeder, unless there are specific reasons to do so. If that's what works best someone's situation,oh well... as long as the prospective pet parent does their due diligence. . And be careful about claiming a cat is hypoallergenic. There are actually 8 different cat proteins that can trigger hypersensitivity. Fel d 1 is simply the most common. Siberians still produce it, just in much lower quantities. Even if, for the sake of argument, the cat doesn't produce any Fel d 1, there's a possibility that the owner is allergic to more than just that one protein.
Yes, hypoallergenic is another one of those tricky words. Like costume jewelry that is labeled hypoallergenic yet still will make my skin break out! We know that some people are still violently allergic to Siberians, but because they produce less Fel d-1, they are an option for those with less severe allergies that cannot own any other breed or domestic shorthair. But the word works to get the idea across to the general public who is not medically savvy and I am not aware of a different word to use to convey the idea other than explaining the science behind it. I totally understand the sleep deprivation, I went to school for architecture and as you may have heard, it's quite the grind with sleepless nights, although the process is a few years shorter! We appreciate your insight, good luck with your studies and have fun with your Sib! -J-me
@Andrew Jackson Errr.... Not sure how you came to the conclusion that I meant only Siberians are the breed "worth adopting." Nowhere did I say people should only be adopting Siberians. My stepmother always adopted Persians, but adopted them from shelters nonetheless. It's called "personal preference."
If you're looking for "the love of your life", this breed of cat will not let you down! We have a brother and sister that we adopted 5 years ago from a rescue, and we thought until recently they were probably Maine Coon. Once I started looking at info about Siberians, it was definite: We have 2 Siberians-who look almost identical to your two beautiful kitties. They are truly people-cats. (Our "little" lady is in my lap right this minute, at her insistence!) Many of our neighbors walk by our house just to ask if the cats can come play!! And our AirBNB guests rave about them in all the reviews.
I have had cats for decades, and there has never been a cat that didnt come to us. There has always been an abundance of animals around me that needed rescuing and I have never had the need to seek one out. My most fortunate cat came to us on new years day and he was my closest friend and most wonderful companion. Juanchan was a Siberian, and if ever I had to choose a cat it would definitely be a Siberian hands down.
I have a 2.5 year old Neva Masquerade. I call him "Flavio" and he can be so loving 0ne minute and quickly become bratty. He loves to be rubbed and gently scratched and will leap into my lap and park his fluffy butt for me to scratch his hips and back and quickly flip onto his back with legs spread for tummy scratches. For such a big guy he has a little trill like meow. I very much enjoy the journey working with him to be combed and brushed, nail trims, play times. Favorite toy? Any box or empty basket!
We are blessed with 4 males " wonderful companions , they're so smart, and loving ours are 4 brothers same litter " and they wrestle sometimes but I know they love each other, I even caught them peeing in the toilet " they really don't like to be outside that much " because they know they have to be groomed afterwards " the cold doesn't bother them and they always, sleep with us in the blankets and that's the only way they can sleep " they're also possessive" and they Quarl for position on us and constantly wanting to be the very favorite " they give kisses and are very vocal and constantly have to follow all of us to every room and will never be in a room alone " even and especially the bathroom " but they have brightened our lives so much and they relieve so much stress " they love when we get home from the grocery stores or anywhere and they start talking so much and seem to be wanting to wanting to go with us and that will be our next experiment " with a nice bejeweled collar and leash ,
I just received my first Siberian a few days ago, he is so friggin cute and chill. I'm totally infatuated with him. Also, both my kids have shown allergic reactions to other cats, but neither kid has had any kind of reaction to our Siberian. These guys are awesome!
So you make a channel about Siberians and you manage to make a video without a single cat that has the actual colors that a Siberian has.. Are you confused a lot ? This is not ment to be a human designed species.. yet thats all you show.. so sad.. such a fail..
Get a life. You clearly know nothing about the breed if you don't recognize Kitsune or Maneki's coat patterns as Siberians. Additionally, this is factually incorrect because all Siberian cats and all domesticated cats (including landrace domesticated cats) have genetic markers that show human hybridization of intraspecific breeding going back thousands of years. You cannot find me a dna sequence for a pattern of siberian that does not show human intervention or breeding and you cannot show me any notable difference between the dna sequence for a blue, a tabby, a tortie, or a smoke/black siberian. The entire landrace breed of siberian cats share the same genetic makeup regardless of your opinions about appearance or preferences for certain phenotypic expressions.
I have just been babysitting a mother siberian and her four kittens for two weeks. The mother cat would literally demand to spend a huge portion of her day in the same room as me. If i closed the door and she couldn`t get in to my bedroom she would scratch on the door, and make a lot of noises until i let her in. When i went out of the house to go shopping she would lie next to the door and wait for me to return. Her kittens got very attached to me as well. Almost as much as the mother. They saw me as a co-mother, and used to sleep next to me in where ever i sat. This is the most interesting cat breed i`ve ever seen. They are so beautiful and loving. And they show affection for you, and welcomes you at the door when you came back from work. It`s almost like having a dog who doesn`t bark. This breed is highly recommended.
Siberians are so cute looking as the head seems to stay kitten-size, but the rest grows to a fluffy duster. Our Yanaba was chosen as I used to be deadly allergic to all other cats, but not to pure bred Siberians. The funny thing is, that as she still has a very small amount of allergenic in her, it is so little that even I did not get any kind of reaction, but that amount slowly cured my allergia to cats almost completely. Ours is a little Princess and we all are her servants... :D Yes, a thousand Euros, a lot for a cat, but I decided then that my daughter finally gets a cat even if it kills me. I charged myself with antihistamine, just in case, when we went to check the kittens available, and of course, no reaction, but I knew that I could not have such doses every day. So, the next days showed that I was not allergic to her at all. Now it is almost seven years from that. Sweet little Fur Rocket.
We found our Siberian cat, Anameus, at the animal shelter when she was about 1 year old. She was in bad shape, and her fur was shaved down short, and she had obviously had kittens recently. The guy at the shelter tried to tell us that she is mean and not to buy her. But we fell in love with her the moment we saw her and it turns out she doesn't like men for some reason. We had no idea she was a Siberian until her fur grew in. She is the sweetest, most loving, and beautiful cat I've ever known. We paid $25.00 for her, but she is priceless.
I love cats, but had not had one for years due to allergies. A friend breeds Siberians, and the rest is history. We met Mia and her siblings when she was 2 days old. She chose us when she was three weeks old and joined our family at 12 weeks. She is now 18 months and we have laughed so much with her and enjoy her loving and playful companionship. She is an indoor cat because we live surrounded by the national forest in New Hampshire and there are too many dangerous predators outside, but she has terrific views and bird feeders to watch. She loves to play fetch with a small felt ball and she loves chasing us and being chased. She is so smart! Siberians are truly amazing cats.
We think the guy we found about 2 1/2 years ago is Siberian? He was about 4-5 weeks old in our back yard crying for hours 😔 my wife and I decided to go look and we kept him , he's about 2 1/2 Now weights a little over 15 LBS had all the appearance and personality of the cats on this channel. I wish I could share a photo of him. I'm not on Facebook and the Instagram Link is broken or deleted? I don't see another way to share our cat Rocky? The only thing different is he is afraid of strangers since getting fixed I don't know if something happened at the vet's? He will hide as soon as he knows a stranger is around you won't know hes there. The rest is exactly the same. Except for the few YT videos I have up. I can't share Links on YT it gets deleted.
We adopted our cat from a Rescue organization. She looks to be. Maine Coon/Siberian combo with physical characteristics if both breeds. Her personality is typically Siberian and we adore her. She is always shadowing me around the house and gets quite upset if I don’t give her the attention she wants. She will meow at me relentlessly until I figure out what it is that she wants. She is very communicative and so much fun loved your video!
I have a Siberian rescue that was a stray for at least a year. Very sweet cat, but I think the stress of homelessness and food insecurity took away her playfulness. She’s sweet, but as we Only had her inside for about 5 months, we”re hoping she gets even more comfy.
I have a siberian as my college cat, he is the most loving, playful, and goofy cat I've ever had. He comes running to me when I come home and follows me around the house even when he was just cuddling with my roommates. He either sleeps on his cat tree by my desk, in the crook of my knee, or cuddling up next to me. He's such an absolute love bug
We lived in Moscow for a few years to work. As part of our "bribe" for our kids' move, we promised a dog and a cat. We got our Eastern Shepherd first as a puppy and then found out that there was a litter of kittens under a guard shack in the neighborhood. My wifed pulled out a beautiful black and white kitten who has been with us now for 17 years. Through our frequent moves, we were asked to identify the breed of cat. At first, we thought she was a Norwegian Forest Cat; however, a vet told us she was too small for a Norwegian. We discovered later that she is a Siberian Forest Cat, which makes perfect sense now. What a great cat! She outlived her Shepherd sister and is still going strong.
We think one of our cats might be part Siberian! She is stocky, with smaller ears, a fluffy tail, and ENORMOUS (for her size) paws. She also is still growing at 3, which I know is a hallmark of these kinds of cats, and most other American shorthair/longhair cats I have had were done growing by then. I always compare her to a Pallas’ Cat. But she comes from a cat colony in South Central Los Angeles, and we have no idea how a Siberian (or possibly Norwegian) cat could have been found in such a hot place! And we don’t know for sure if she’s Siberian or Norwegian. Do you have any advice on telling the difference?
I always say I was raised by a Siberian Forest Cat (tortoise with white paws and a curly orange tummy). She was present for my first 15 years of life and she was a constant companion. So smart, she taught herself to use the toilet, and she opened doors. She used to snuggle up in bed with me, but knew that if my parents found her, she would end up outside for the night, so just as they started up the stairs, my cat would get under the bed and be completely silent, until my parents had opened the door to inquire if I had seen the cat! After they left, she would get back under the covers and puff like a tractor! Truly the best cat I ever had, and I still miss her daily, 37 years after her death.
I have a Siberian and he is white with blue eyes and he is delicious, so friendly and lovely ....and we walk every day together with the leash because I am at the seaside..
My Siberian cat is very well known in my neighborhood, he is extremely loving and friendly. Have in mind they are amazing hunters so they could bring anything you can think of from a sneak to a rabbit. Mine loves car rides and he hops right in my car when you open the door. Sometimes I feel like I have a dog instead of a cat.
Maine Coon cats are exactly the same and Norwegian Forest cats as well. It's good to know there is another branch of the same kind of cats but perhaps they are really all one. Maine Coons only look the way they do now because they have been overbred for certain characteristics. All three are wonderful cats.
We just got a 10 week old female Siberian kitten. I’ve had cats all my life, but my husband is allergic to them. So we got this one. She is amazingly funny and very smart. I just picked her up from the breeder and during my 2 day drive home , we bonded. We’ve had her for a week and my husband has no allergy symptoms. She sleeps with us and our dog. He wants to play, but she’s aloof around him. She’s queen of the house! 😂😻
I'm wondering if Siberians communicate with their humans verbally. It seems that I often can have a conversation with my cat. She makes a trilling type sound, I make a sound or say something, she will make her sound again, and this can go back and forth for minutes. My cat was adopted and had been a ferral cat prior. She's an unusual cat in many respects, very loving, at times even considerate (she let's me sleep in the morning). I'm thinking she may be part Siberian. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
One showed up at my door 7 years ago and I adopted her from the street. Her name is Isabelle or just Izzy for short. She has a page on fb, search Isabelle, Queen of cats. (Nothing for sale just cat pictures)
My sons male Siberian gets in the shower with him. If he’s not let in he’ll whine, trill and chirp until Will lets him in. I have never seen a cat play as much as this one. Loves attention and being close. He follows my son everywhere he goes. We just lost our 18 year old tabby so a Siberian might just be a replacement.
I have a Siberian too and he is the sweetest cat I’ve ever had. Just as said in the video, he follows me everywhere too, he absolutely loves water sometimes plays with it for an hour He is such a loving friend in my life
I had to take care of a kit for a month...she was still very young so got really attached & wound up liking me as much as her owner. But yes would always follow me around & is very loyal.
We have a beautiful 15 lb Siberian female named Kuu. My daughter bought her from a breeder, she came with papers. We needed to make sure that she was a full bred Siberian because we have family members with allergies. Kuu is a sweet kitty, and she loves tummy rubs just like a puppy. If you walk through a room she'll jog along side of you, cut in front of you, and then flop down and roll on her back. Then you have to stop and give her belly rubs. And she is very sweet and well-behaved. She loves tissue paper, boxes, and she loves to hunt for toys and treats. 😺❤️ She is a real blessing to our family.
I loved your video. Siberian are a terrific breed as I own 6 of them 1 momma and 5 babies. We have had them for over 7 years. 2 males a 4 females weighing from 9 pounds to a monster 24 pounds. We have raised 5 from babies. They are the most loving cats. I just wanted to share my experience with you. Thank you.
I've had mine for six years. She is a rescue. She was going to be put down at 8 weeks but I was able to adopt her for free. She's a beautiful tortoiseshell color. I didn't even know she was Siberian until a few years after I had her when doing some research. She fetches like a dog and is clingy at times. Very playful and vocal. I can't imagine paying for a cat. I really don't think anyone knew what kind of cat she was or they would not have wanted her to be put down. I'm blessed to have found her.
The most beatiful and finest cats. We have a pair and kittens two times a year. They are so beautiful and pretty and it's everytime very hard for us when we sell the little kittens. Greetings from Germany.
I live in an isolated area, my nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile way. I spotted what I thought was a rabbit running far ahead of me down the road and I couldn't get close, this was my first sighting of HIM.. Months later I saw a split second flash of a big bushy skunk tail as the creature took off...hmm albino skunk?? Weeks later week meows, thought I was hearing things. He stepped it up...full visual, eye contact before he raced off when I lay in the weak fall sun. What the hell- a cat? What a Gorgeous Cat!! But I didn't want to be tied down to a pet, the neighbor who poisoned my last cats (on my property) was still a threat, I wanted to travel to a hot tropical place.NO!! I left food out, but had to be careful because I also had a bear living at my place. I was intrigued, how did he get here, he was beautiful-was he dumped off?! For his second feeding I didn't leave. I meowed where I thought he would be for !/2 hr. I wanted to meet/see him again!! I was smitten. 2 days later we were inseparable. He was all fluff, he was so skinny, despite being a great hunter. This was a year ago. I thought he was a lynx point siamese, ragdoll, maine coon mix breed. I'd never heard of Siberian cats, but his coloring and wildness made me think of Siberia/Russia so after months of being named Snuggle Monster I settled on Ivan-Russian, meaning gift from the gods-he is! Now because of a random suggested(yours) utube vid I learned of the breed and know without a doubt that's what he is. Your description is accurate. He is a larger than life character, very boisterous and very athletic. He can be pretty demanding and when I'd try to explain to other people how much activity, stimulation he needed, I was advised to stop spoiling him. He's a cat like no other I've ever known, a lot like a border collie but much more cuddly. I was told he would slow down with age...ha ha. I think because of his feral period he's still scared of other people and wasn't socialized to other cats. He's the only cat I've ever seen that chases deer! He charged the raccoons off my deck and no more squirrel damage He did have to call an unwilling truce with skunks though after getting sprayed 3 times, twice in the face temporarily blinding him. When I'd gush with amazement and tell proud cat stories people didn't understand...he sprints faster than a horse though, he leaps for snowballs, hunts mice like a fox or coyote....eye roll-crazy cat lady alert. All cats have amazing potential given the chance, but Siberians are really unique. It would be awful to leave them alone for too long or give them an indoors only life.
Great story! Ivan-Russian sounds like one of a kind! We are glad you found our channel, we are happy to be part of a community that shares our obsession with cats, especially Siberians!
Cool story, bro, I found my siberian cat in the garden, she was abandoned by her mom i think, i tricked her into my place, now she is one of us. 😀she is one year old now, her name is Baby. 😄
@@KitsuneSiberianForestCats My Siberian cat is very smart, I always catch him when I get back from work before I close the door so he wouldn't be able to sneak out, now he will pretend to sleep beside the door when he hears me back from work at the door, once I slipped away he will ran out the door. He so smart lol, now I will catch him after I got back from work whether he is asleep or not, don't want take any chances of him sneaking out the door.
I have two cats rescued from Russia and they play A LOT, like they don't get tired by playing for an 1 hour in a row. then I read about 'siberian forest cats' and it explained everything....now I'm looking for a bigger house
I love my family’s Siberian cats! They are all allergic to cats, but then they bot two of them, and now life is wayyyy better! ❤️ but, they don’t get along with other cats.....
That's great to hear that your family is able to enjoy your Siberian cats despite having allergies! Cats can be very territorial, usually it's best to introduce cats very slowly. Our cats also are not fans of other cats, but if we were to choose to bring other cats into our home, they would probably get used to it if it was a slow transition.
I actually got my Siberian as a rescue from a lady who spent $2000.00 for her. At just two years old her daughter got bored and didn't want her anymore, she got to the humane society when I was there. The lady didn't get to give her to them before I took her, papers and all, little did I know she was sick. While I was talking to the lady she admitted that the cat spent hours every day locked in a basement bathroom, when they were at work from 10 to 14 hours a day. Well, she had swallowed a hair tie and was extremely sick, and adopting a rare expensive cat I still spent about $1000.00 for her initial vet bill. It was the best money I ever spent now at five, Misty the mackerel colored Siberian is my best friend as I am now disabled and homebound, she is always at my side. I never knew I could love a cat like I do Misty.
We cannot believe how some people treat cats! If your pet is not considered part of your family, it is questionable if you should have a pet at all! We are so glad Misty ended up with you, in a loving home. Our cats mean so much to us that the price we paid for them as kittens seems like nothing now, they are priceless!
Excellent video & info..i have 2 female black tortie Siberian forest cats..im from Singapore..theyre lovely intelligent cats. Thank you for sharing..like & subscribe already..💗💕💞♥️💓
I had a tabby point Siberian (Neva Mascarade). Best cat I ever had. Beautiful, sweet, spunky, loved my other three cats, frisky almost right up to the day he died. He could use volume when needed, but mostly would announce himself by saying "neh." (He was one of the Knights that say "Neh" from Spamalot!) I miss him terribly. But, wow! Did he ever shed--in clumps! Worth it--but be aware.
I think we got ourselves a Siberian or a Siberian mix from a rescue. We were looking for a MC or a MC mix and that is how he was described. After doing more research, I am pretty sure we have one. He was rescued from the streets of Philadelphia. How a cat like this became a stray is a mystery to all of us. We are hoping with time that his trusting, playful nature will surface. As well as his purr! We've had him for 8 months now and have yet to hear him purr. At any rate, someone else's loss has become our gain. Our first experience with this breed and looking forward to a long, happy relationship with this guy. He is 4 years old.
Same, but in Brooklyn NY and a Norwegian Forest Cat. Later once I figured out what her breed most likely is (can't deny her long, slender nose), I noticed that there are lots of NFCs at shelters around the US. You got lucky!!!
You most likely do NOT have a Siberian. Siberians are rare and expensive. These cats are not found roaming the streets. The only way you'd know if you had a Siberian is if you bought one from a reputable breeder and you have have papers from one of the governing organizations to confirm it.
Beautiful kitties, I took care of two Norwegian Forest Cats while house-sitting for professor friends in St Petersburg FL back in 2011, they had been raised on a sailboat, very awesome and loving kitties...bless from AZ and Ecuador 🦁🌵🦁🏵️
Love this video!!! Your cats are so adorable! We are pasting the link to this in our newsletter this week (which is all about Siberian cats). Great info.
I SO excited because I got a Siberian kitten for Christmas well it hasn’t been born yet but I’m still getting one because my family is on the waiting list and I’ve been learning all about them and I love them so much!
That is awesome! Thank you for commenting and watching, we hope our video has helped you learn about Siberians! If you are wanting to train them to be an adventure cat, check out our video series on harness/leash training! The best of luck to you and your soon to be kitten!
They are an amazing breed and we have two of them as well. The most important thing is that they need more interaction time then regular cats. Ours will start to misbehave if we leave them alone for too long. They have dog like behaviors like wanting to greet us at the door all the time.
I have a rescue that is 100% like a siberian. Its a mystery how she showed up in my carport, she was about 14 weeks old, so I am guessed they failed at finding a buyer and just put her there. She is very beautiful, now she is 12, all the beauty still and still playful. I will say she is a little less cuddely then most cats, it is on her terms only. Her fur seems to be longer every winter, so you have alot to look forward to. She can climb up to 3-4 meters up a tree and come down like a koala bear with the same position climbing down as up. Amazing build and agility. My next cat will be a full breed siberian, after 40 years since I got my first cat, I am just so sold. Love your video, I would like to have heard the cats purr, mine purrs very loudly still
Thank you! Sounds like you have an awesome cat! If you want to hear Kitsune and Maneki purring, check out this other video! th-cam.com/video/LZLCOBhYMsQ/w-d-xo.html
my siberian is about to turn 14 and he is as much of a kitten as ever. we cuddle and play every day and he takes every chance to cuddle anytime i am sitting or laying down
@@KitsuneSiberianForestCats my siberians parents were both grand champions hes about 12lbs blue mackerel coat and he loves his humans alot if he's not outside stalking he's either sleeping in whatever room im in or just hanging out. He's very sweet will not bite or scratch you unless your playing that is.
Love your video. My girl Tatiana is all black with a Smokey mane. Yours are gorgeous. I wish I could take her outside the way you do yours... but she has some issues with anxiety.
Yes, Kitsune is the blue tabby. We get lots of people who tell us about their past cats who look like Kitsune, we like to think she carries on the spirit of all of those kitties! Thanks for commenting and we wish you many happy days with your new baby Neva Masquerade!
I've been considering getting two Siberian cats at some point - preferably both male, kittens from the same litter! Do you know of any temperament issues between males of this breed?
We haven't heard of any temperament issues with male Siberians, and actually we have heard that the males tend to be even sweeter and more cuddly than the females!
Someone in my neighborhood has a fluffy black and white cat that looks a lot like a Siberian. When I go for a walk in the evening, the cat runs up to me and makes a melodious trilling noise. I think it's his way of saying "hello", like a friendly neighbor.
Awww, what a sweetie!
My Siberian cat scares me all the time! I can never hear him and he pops out of nowhere. He's such a big one and he follows me literally everywhere.
He's a fluffy ninja! lol
This must be a breed characteristic... Simba startles my parents on a regular basis.
Aww! You should play with him he would highly enjoy that, also taking them on walks every now and then like I do with
My Siberian would make him happy And can help with the jump scares!
Yes! Mine does the same! It's funny and follows me literally inch by inch!
When you don’t know if you want a dog or cat.
"...dog in a cat's body..." reminds me of my Maine coon cat...
Aww. I'm so sorry for your loss😥
Our neighbour has one these cats , the cat came over nearly every day when I was recovering from shoulder surgery to keep me company they're very social indeed.
Awww, that's so sweet!
Sounds like a great cat, and what a great name, too!
What beautiful cats! I didn’t know anything about this breed. Thanks for this video.
This is a great video!! Thanks!! For sharing this!!
I miss my Siberian so much, best cat i ever owned
We are blessed with 4 males " wonderful companions , they're so smart, and loving ours are 4 brothers same litter " and they wrestle sometimes but I know they love each other, I even caught them peeing in the toilet " they really don't like to be outside that much " because they know they have to be groomed afterwards " the cold doesn't bother them and they always, sleep with us in the blankets and that's the only way they can sleep " they're also possessive" and they Quarl for position on us and constantly wanting to be the very favorite " they give kisses and are very vocal and constantly have to follow all of us to every room and will never be in a room alone " even and especially the bathroom " but they have brightened our lives so much and they relieve so much stress " they love when we get home from the grocery stores or anywhere and they start talking so much and seem to be wanting to wanting to go with us and that will be our next experiment " with a nice bejeweled collar and leash ,
My Siberian was really cheap, Someone stupid thrown her away
I just received my first Siberian a few days ago, he is so friggin cute and chill. I'm totally infatuated with him. Also, both my kids have shown allergic reactions to other cats, but neither kid has had any kind of reaction to our Siberian. These guys are awesome!
Beautiful cats
I had a Norwegian Forest Cat and am wondering how much they differ from your cats!
I want one. ❤
😍👍🇬🇧
I want one!
Glad you keep those cuties on a leash- something that so many cat owners can't understand is a smple solution to the cat/bird problem
We've just brought home a Siberian and now I'm debating if I should go back for his brother or get the Maine Coon we saw last month
>*
Siberian cat is domestic cat! There is Norwegian Forest cat.
Absolutely Beautiful!!
i have a siberian cat too.
I know what you mean. My Siberian died six years ago. I miss him so much that I watch videos on Siberians.
Sometimes I imagine them with warrior cat names :) ‘ Forest / Slash ' ((MAKE A MORPH))
Pretti Boi ❤
😻
I have a Siberian and he is white with blue eyes and he is delicious, so friendly and lovely ....and we walk every day together with the leash because I am at the seaside..
Siberian cats are so smart. Also I love their big eyes lol
Lovely cat 😸🐈
Our cat is 3/4 siberian, 1/4 ragdoll. She is an amazing cat and we love her so much.
Just as said in the video, he follows me everywhere too, he absolutely loves water sometimes plays with it for an hour
He is such a loving friend in my life
I had to take care of a kit for a month...she was still very young so got really attached & wound up liking me as much as her owner. But yes would always follow me around & is very loyal.
Oh, I love everything about them! They could not be any more beautiful.
Thank you!
They're lovely animals.
I have a 4month old siberian he is white and called Teddy, he loves my Children and cries when they go to school lol.
Teddy sounds like an awesome cat!
@@KitsuneSiberianForestCats he is brilliant, mischievous though 😊
100% spot on!. Ha ha
Thank you!
Thank you.
Thank you! 6 sibs, gotta admit I'm a bit jealous! What a joy they must be! And a 24 pounder... that's a lot of cat to love!
loved this video!. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank YOU!
fluffy... furry... cotton balls... cutie pie. love catss
I got 2 by accident, they are absolutely wonderful loving, sweet animals, & they are funny too, & actually like to be funny for you.
Thank you!
Yes indeed! Siberian kittens are so precious, we totally understand that it would be hard to let them go! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hey man I would love to buy a kitten from you, I live in Belgium so if you have a kitten let me know
I live in an isolated area, my nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile way.
True, mine has such personality too, they are too intelligent, many times deceiving me to get out of the house 😅
Ours are sneaky little "jail breakers" too! Sometimes Maneki swats the door knob trying to figure out how to open the door! 😂
Only one word describes why I want one. FLUFF.
I have two cats rescued from Russia and they play A LOT, like they don't get tired by playing for an 1 hour in a row. then I read about 'siberian forest cats' and it explained everything....now I'm looking for a bigger house
Best cats ever! We’ve got a classic black tabby, called Sam, he is so sweet, beautiful and affectionate. Amazing!
He sounds beautiful! I have always wanted a cat with a classic tabby coat! -Jamie
Great video! Your cats are beautiful. I have two Siberians, Mishka (blue McTabby) and Nikolai, a/k/a "Niko" (blue lynx point). Awesome breed for sure.
Thank you!
Mine is Sasha (Caша) 🥰
What beautiful kitties. Great video.
Thank you very much!
siberian brides are the best: husky, samoyed, malumutes, and the cats
We love them. We have thought about possibly getting a Samoyed in the future!
We got a funny guy here!
@So Lo 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have a Husky he’s the best thing that ever happened to me
I’ve had a Samoyed for 7 years and will be getting my first Siberian cat in a couple of weeks!
Torties are so beautiful! Thank you for watching, commenting, liking, and subscribing! Much love from Colorado!
We thoroughly enjoyed this video, being that we are the proud owners of two beautiful blue point, 5 month old Siberian’s called Moya and Myshka.
We are glad to hear that, thank you for the kind comment. It is always good to meet other Sib owners! Those are cute names! 😻
Beautiful! 😸🌿✌🌻🐾
Very nice video. Great cats.👍👍👍
Thank you so much!
It sounds like he has a good home now, so after some time, I am sure he will be a very loving family member!
@@KitsuneSiberianForestCats Thank you. 😺☺
That is so awesome, that sounds like it was a lot of fun! Thank you for watching and greetings from Summit County, Colorado!
Love this video!!! Your cats are so adorable! We are pasting the link to this in our newsletter this week (which is all about Siberian cats). Great info.
Wow, thank you so much for sharing our video and your compliment on our cats! We really appreciate it!
Such beautiful cats 🐱😍🤗
Thank you!
Loved the video and shared with our friends here in Australia. Thanks from Kamaria Ragdolls and Siberians. Australia.
Awesome, thank you! We just found your page on Facebook and now following you!
They are an amazing breed and we have two of them as well. The most important thing is that they need more interaction time then regular cats. Ours will start to misbehave if we leave them alone for too long. They have dog like behaviors like wanting to greet us at the door all the time.
Yes, very true! Ours sometimes meet us at the door when we come home, too.
Beautiful kitty cats!
Thank you!
Wonderful cool cats....I will have to run it pass my very spoiled Chocolate Simease and British Tori first. Lol..thanks for sharing.
mine follows my dad around and sits on his lap while he works
Thanks for this informative video! My neighbour has a cat that likes to visit. It certainly is a very beautiful cat.
If you want to hear Kitsune and Maneki purring, check out this other video!

my siberian is about to turn 14 and he is as much of a kitten as ever. we cuddle and play every day and he takes every chance to cuddle anytime i am sitting or laying down
awww what a sweetheart! We have heard from other Siberian owners that the males are especially sweet.
Wow! 2 champion parents must make a beautiful baby!
I love sibearian cats
We do too, thank you so much for watching!
Your welcome
So much like my Maine Coon! But,my guy is definitely not going in the water!Love your kitty's
haha yes, most cats are not as excited about swimming as Kitsune. Thanks for watching!
Love your video. My girl Tatiana is all black with a Smokey mane. Yours are gorgeous. I wish I could take her outside the way you do yours... but she has some issues with anxiety.
I just got a Neva Mascarade kitten but your Kitsune (the blue tabby?) Looks like my old cat who passed Newtn. I wonder if he had some Siberian in him!
Yes, Kitsune is the blue tabby. We get lots of people who tell us about their past cats who look like Kitsune, we like to think she carries on the spirit of all of those kitties! Thanks for commenting and we wish you many happy days with your new baby Neva Masquerade!
My dream cat 🤗🙇♀️🐱
Cause they are elegant and loving I have one myself UwU
Gorgeous
I love mine
Thank you for making this. ❤ wish we could post pics on here

@@KitsuneSiberianForestCats Duly noted! Thank you kindly!
didn't expect you here
