  • Barrett-Jackson fired up the crowd on Friday as the first charity car of the 2022 Houston Auction had its turn in the spotlight: A 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Callaway/Hendrick Edition with 100 percent of its $250,000 hammer price benefiting Operation Homefront. The special Camaro was donated to the cause by longtime customer of Barrett-Jackson, Michelle Mauzy, and her family. Joining Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson on the block to introduce the vehicle was Brigadier General (Ret.) John Pray, president and CEO of Operation Homefront, which helps military families with housing, financial education and more. The winning bidder of this incredible car was Joe Riley, a familiar face at Barrett-Jackson known for purchasing countless other charity vehicles. Included with the sale were four tickets to any 2023 NASCAR race of his choosing and a tour of Rick Hendrick’s Heritage Center.
Impressive muscle cars to gorgeous Resto-Mods and unique vehicles made their way across the famous auction block at NRG Center. One of the most anticipated vehicles to cross the block on Friday was the 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 VIN 005 (Lot 442.1) which sold for $225,500. The sale was followed by Lot 443, a 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor Tribute Edition that crossed the block for $220,000.
Pickup trucks were among the highlights of the day’s auction, led by Lot 450, a 1990 Chevrolet 3500 custom pickup for $110,000; Lot 368, a 1968 Chevrolet C10 custom pickup for $99,000; Lot 438.1, a 1940 Ford custom pickup for $89,100; Lot 418, a 1955 Ford F-100 pickup for $88,000; and Lot 439, a 1969 Chevrolet C10 custom pickup that crossed the block for $85,800.
Other notable sales included Lot 458, a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette 327/300 convertible, and Lot 468, a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette 427/390 convertible that each crossed the block for $110,000; and Lot 464.1, a 1971 Datsun 240Z LS custom coupe for $88,000.
Today’s special guests at the auction included Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and IndyCar race car driver Santino Ferrucci. He stopped by to give Craig Jackson the helmet and gloves he wore when he drove the No. 23 DRR Palermo’s/Barrett-Jackson Chevrolet IndyCar during the 106th running of the Indianapolis 500.

Absolutely amazing cars, what a fabulous selection and the prices very affordable I am sure. Sadly, there are so many cars of this type rotting away in a garage or warehouse some place that are crying out for rescue guys. Well done, love this!

With the exception of the full frame version, they are made in Mexico. No problem. They are basically a dodge caravan with a 2.7 liter engine...

Not a single ford today will ever reach 300,000 miles. Not one. Literally a turd factory. No pride and integrity in their work. Go extinct.
      2021, ford sold 3,000,000 vehicles.
      Toyota sold 10,000,000 vehicles.

At time 2:50:55 is a silver Camaro , notice the difference in door paint compared to the rear Quarter panel paint.
All these Camaros are like this. I think it has to do with the contrasting shape of the two panels , I never was a fan of this car because of it.

I love the way the guy shows how much she knows absolutely nothing about Jeeps, it's just a 6 cylinder model he says that six cylinder is a 4.0 that's actually the workhorse of the Jeep those engines are almost indestructible so it's not just a 6 cylinder it's a straight six beast and unfortunately 1986 was the last time one of those rolled off the line
