The Black widow movie takes place right after the Captain America civil war movie and before black panther due to the fact that black panther take place a week after the events of civil war.
In the comic books Natasha Romanoff Black widow was a super soldier but in MCU she's just seems to be in peak human condition. There are other people who they shown in the MCU with this same body conditioning like Daredevil John Walker and left before Walker receive the super soldier serum. Natasha's mother the Iron maiden said she was chosen as a baby because of her genetic potential. I think these characters had the mutant x Gene but it was never was trigger at puberty like most mutants. Some of these people have shown incredible abilities so instead of getting extraordinary abilities in the traditional sense they only received peak human capabilities. At least that's my theory.
A great film even though it should have been released before Endgame. Dreykov is a genuinely scary and despicable villain, and the action scenes are fantastic. All of the main actors give great performances. It also raises a question. In this film Natasha fights a dozen Widows and lives. She also survives numerous explosions, two car crashes, a fall from a five-story building, and a high altitude sky dive using two parachutes that she wasn't actually wearing. If she could live through all of that, maybe falling off a cliff on Vormir didn't kill her either. I know the rule was that you had to sacrifice someone - but IIRC it didn't actually say "die".
I liked this one a lot and Yolanda always makes me laugh. Any way just some trivia here yes you are right the mother is Rachel Weiz who plays Evie in the first two Mummy movies and the actress of young Natasha is Milla Jovovich's daughter which is interesting and she does look like her so not hard to tell. The Taskmaster in this movie isn't the one from the comics...for one it's a guy in the comics and two he is a lot harder to defeate than that. I do like thw trick Natasha and her mother pulled on the bad guy though that was interesting. The post credit scene leads to the Hawlkeye tv show which I liked actually.

The young Natasha, is Milla Jovovich daughter. Milla was in the 5th element, resident evil movies. Not sure if y'all have seen those.
I really dug this movie . Loved the story, action and the humor/drama within the family.

This movie was decent when I first seen it and the big scenes were even better when my wife and I seen it in theater.
