    Great info 👍 I'm old school fan of the Vaterra twin Hammers which was one of my favorite rigs.

      Nice I have always wanted one, but have chosen not to buy one because it seems like it would be hard to get parts for

      good call! I was also thinking traxxas 110s will probably hold oil well

    I absolutely love my element trailrunner. But the stock ifs spring's are too stiff for any flex in the front end. I tried the element yellow springs, but I also run a full size lipo, and it doesn't return back up very easily. I'm going to have to try this setup. Thanks 👍👍

      Thanks for the comment man! I run reedy 3000mah 3s packs and the springs I show in the video are great for that, I have actually had someone try to do the full size battery pack and its a little heavy... You may have to do some secondary spring trial and error to get it set up properly for that heavy of a battery.

      @@falkenphil557 it's a 6200mah 2s. I get about 2 hours of training with it. Looks like I'm gonna have to upgrade to some 3s shorty packs for my rig. 👍
      Also picked up a set of incision springs. Has a couple pairs that are between the element yellow springs and ifs springs. Gonna try those out first, was only $7

      Scratch that. The incision springs are too small for the element shocks. Too short and narrow. 🤦

      @@falkenphil557 got a pair of the 110mm hot racing double spring shocks (TD110V02), with the stiff upper and lower springs on they seem to be ok. The longer travel definitely added that front tire flex I was looking for. Now I just need find more springs that fit to tune them a bit better. Slightly wider than axial/incision springs, but not as wide as element springs. The pair was only $28 tho.

      @@barceloni1984 Awesome man thanks for giving it a try! I am happy to see someone who likes doing some spring tuning like myself. I promise once you find the proper spring tension that your happy with your gonna love it. I never thought about people using full size batteries when I made this video, once you find spring rates that are good for it you should lemme know and I’ll make a part 2

    Thanks for the video, I can’t find much for ifs on here, I have the Knightrunner with the knight customs ifs mod, I don’t know if I want to do it to the Trailrunner I just got. Have you done the ifs mod? and do you think I should do it to my trailrunner? Thanks in advance for your advice.

      I am using the knight customs ifs kit on the yellow 2021 bronco in the video, but that is a custom one off on a trx4 frame. It worked out perfectly on the trx4 but that was due to me using portals on the outside of the ifs.
      On my stock element with IFS, simply put I don’t recommend the knight customs kit. It messes with the suspension geometry a ton, which can be fixed by following the instructions and doing all the mods like flipping the steering rack etc, but for me the main reason I didn’t like the knight customs kit was because it didn’t actually add any ground clearance whatsoever between the ground and the diff, it just makes your front end way stiffer because it moved it closer to the upper shock mount and changed your fulcrum point to a stiffer position. Also I couldn’t run my shock setup in this video without using the stock element shock mounts flipped upside down, and even then it just didn’t have the suspension travel that I get out of the stock setup.
      My main recommendation to everyone after doing all the mods I know of, is to make sure your rig is built to the element ifs kit instructions and then do the shock mod I have done here.

    What does your bronco weigh in at?

    • @falkenphil557
      @falkenphil557  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      9.2 pounds. Actually weighed it just a couple days ago. I have a few videos of it on my page you can see, including how I did the ifs swap.

      @@falkenphil557 I have a knightrunner that is going to weigh close to that if not a little more, I really appreciate this video, I am having a hard time finding those upper 5/8" x 1-9/16" x .055" WG Steel Compression Springs
      In canada
