Throughout the episode, you'll meet Nick Jefferies, a 38-year-old Marine Corps veteran from Spokane, Washington. Nick shares his deeply personal story of dealing with PTSD after his service from 2003 to 2007 as an infantryman. He opens up about how hunting and the outdoors have provided him solace and a way to cope with the challenges he faced after returning from combat. Nick's journey led him to connect with Scott Baldwin through a shared passion for the outdoors and their mutual experiences as veterans.
Together, Nick and Scott founded Darkhorse Expeditions, a platform dedicated to helping veterans navigate life with PTSD by sharing their successes and providing mentorship and support. This episode not only showcases the excitement and skill involved in hunting but also highlights the importance of mental health and camaraderie among veterans.
Last but certainly not least, Darkhorse Expeditions' Scott Baldwin and Chris Garten, decide last minute to head to Missouri for some late season whitetail muzzle-loader action!

Great looking buck! It's great, what you guys are doing! I know it can be hard for guys to ask for help to break that isolation, adding a mission and a goal to getting out and breaking that isolation was a great idea!
