    Something about this video feels odd. Not only are the video clips from 0:32-2:06 the exact same, it also seems like some of the photos have been labelled the wrong way.
    Look at the shots at 2:08, 2:15 and 2:22 for example.
    In every other review I've seen, Sony delivers more muted, more true to life colors as well as an overall "softer" image due to the minimal amount of post processing that is applied. A lot of times, the Sony's images are also slightly overexposed.
    Samsung on the other hand is known for boosting the saturation and lifting the shadows, as well as oversharpening their photos.
    The way the images have been labelled in this video however seems like the complete opposite.

    • @will.archibald

      Do you think the two side-by-side videos at 0:32-2:06 are any different from one another?
      Or do you disagree with the statements I made about the typical image-characteristics of Sony and Samsung phones?
      If so, you might just look up any other video about either of the phones and find out for yourself that the way the images are labeled in this video somehow doesn't add up.

    • @will.archibald
      @will.archibald ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SamSard Can you expand on what you mean by 'assumptions'? You have dismissed and invalidated what Anonym courteously pointed out might be upload or labeling mistakes on the part of the you-tuber. I noticed the same issue, they are not criticisms, they are politely pointing out potential errors. Please enlighten us, do you see differences in the side by side video? I made my comment after analyzing the video on a large 4k monitor, and I have a decade of experience of smartphone photography - my 'assumption' is they are the same clip from the same phone.
      Booredatwork is a great you-tuber, I love his content but he is still human, it looks like a simple mistake or two, maybe he was in a rush to publish??

    Video edge to the Samsung but photos with the Sony are better and the software for post-processing is an added benefit. What Sony has done is approved upon the faults that their Xperia Pro-I had. Adding in the expandable storage pushes the Sony to the front in my mind. What someone needs to do is combine the video quality of Apple with the Sony and you'd have a true heavyweight champion.

    The 1 V looks to be a brilliant device camera wise (as always from Sony) but year after year every new Sony flagship is heralded as the device that defeats the infamous Sony overheating curse. I have heard the same promise for the 1 V but I just can't fall for it when my hard earned money is at stake. I need time to be convinced about this. The software support on such a costly device is critical, and this is another area where I just could never trust Sony. The fact that the front facing camera is badly overexposing on release is another warning sign from me with regards to Sony's software long term.
    In the hands of a skilled photographer this device will be brilliant no doubt if used in Pro mode, and I love the natural colour palette overall and the shockingly good night mode. This phone is a device for people who like to go their own way and not just sheepishly follow the crowd, you have to admire it for that. Love that design and screen for sure.

    the manual mode in Xperia is from the Alpha division of professional cameras + cinealta These names are the ones who filmed the Marvel movies and breaking bad series Many movies and series were shot with Sony cameras they belong to Sony and part of it

    I think personally that the Xperia has better speakers. The Test was not so great. I use the 1 V and the s23 Ultra as my second device and i must say the speakers are better on the 1 V and camera wise, i think we don't must compare are alpha camera with are smartphone camera...I think Samsung did are great job this year, and will win for the best compact phone this year, where i must say it's not so true. The S pen is not are must have. The 100x times zoom is are nice gimmick to play with. This all is more are nice to have...The most useful feature is Dex. But the sony has 3,5 headphone, expandable memory slot, Very good front speaks, 3 pro camera apps, 4K display, lightweight, are anti fingerprint back and sides, with are nice texture with very good grip. Shutter button, (only in my opinion - Flat display) 4K 120hz video recording, comfortable hold, Can piull out the sim slot with my fingers.
    But on the end of the Day all devices perform perfect, no ones is much better, All Smartphones this year are very good, i don't hate any brand, it's only are opinion that I think the best compact phone with pro features is the Sony this year, yeah not price wise, but smartphone wise, the sony offers so much useful features that Samsung or other brands can't offer. And this is fact. For me is the spen not are useful must have feature, it's like with the 100x times zoom are good thing to play with, maybe moon shots but it's only AI too.
    Ps. It's not are hate. Like every brand.😅

    Great video, just one problem with the speaker test/comparison, for an accurate and more true to life test/comparison the mic should be located facing the display as that is how most people use their phone which will make the case of the Xperia more compelling as it has double front facing speakers unlike the Samsung who only has one front facing speaker nonetheless the Samsung is still louder than the Xperia but that different is smaller when the subject is facing the display and not the bottom of the device.

      The samsung also has two speakers, you make it sound like it doesn't have stereo speakers. The top one is front facing while the one at the bottom is just downward firing, but it's loud and acts like a normal stereo speaker should.

      @@pkpnyt4711 I emphasise that there is a big difference to the sound double front facing speakers have and the case of the Samsung, I do acknowledge that they do sound louder but in the test the case for the Xperia is not portrayed properly which was my whole point, and the test does make the Samsung sound better by directing the sound directly to the microphone with the lower speaker which is never the case in normal usage so all around the test portrays both smartphones inaccurately.

    • @pkpnyt4711
      @pkpnyt4711 ปีที่แล้ว
