Deleuze & Guattari push for a very weird revolution in epistemology: engage in systems of thought less similar to trees and more akin to rhizomes. They say that we tend to think too much in "tree terms"; linguistical baggage: root, stem, fruit. Rhizome system is a center-less, direction-less web of nodes, typically exemplified with maps, ginger roots or the internet. Thus, Deleuze & Guattari are the woodchoppers,, and the Univac would be the rhizome example
The combination of 2001 and The tree of life, and particularly those sequences, is correct and perfect. I love it so much I wish I understood the rest of the video, though I love D&G’s rhizome. Typing this out I realized the further connection of the TREE of life, probably that has something to do with it
I'm high, and i saw the same thing :) transition from nature to logic machines, to virtual, and with the 2001 space odyssey visuals.. to a place where the virtual turns back to a retro esthetic of living.. which was sweet. altho i don't know what the creator intended
It is always quite pathetic to see people think they can overcome nature, such as these fellows deem "tree-like, with roots and fruit" with their silly thought experiments
I just love your video! Thank you so much!!!

Very touching ...
Very disturbing ...
fabulous
Don't really get the Deleuze metaphor other than the beginning part and the last quote.
Isn't this just describing state change?

What's the soundtrack? Sound's a bit like Eliane Radigue...
I wish you all to read some good philosophy
Finally
