Your old man still fixing stuff for you. My dad is 73 still does the same thing for me. That’s what dads do. I know it makes them feel good. Thanks for sharing. I bet he’s got some good stories about you. Lol
Yeah Oneida creek runs right behind my house. Its not the same. We caught some big smallys years ago, they seemed to get bigger every year for a while there. Now you can easily get skunked.
As always great video man! Oneida has been tough for the past few seasons. Gets fished pretty hard and lot of pleasure boaters. Loved to hear you catching them on a tube! Really hope your able to finish strong man! Good luck
I wish my dad was around so I could take him fishing. I like Leonard's sense of humor. Enjoyed seeing him the boat Travis, I do wanna wish you luck for the tournament , you sounded a bit defeated before you got going. Think you need that week in Ontario, good for you. We're pulling for you.
I fished a Bassmaster Open on Oneida a couple years ago. First time on the lake and got spanked the first day. However, came back strong the second day to get my pride back. I did figure out a few things about that lake. A light bulb went on. We were told about the dock fishing rule change the night before the tournament in our pre-meeting. , go figure. Yep and green fish won the tournament. The gobies are everywhere for sure. If I only had three baits to fish that lake with, it would be Tubes, Ned Rigs, and Wigglewarts in that order!!
Leonard yelled “Fish on” because he wanted to be on-camera. And it worked! You turned the camera to him. Dad’s got you figured out. Hey, you are still in the elite group of professional fishos.
What rod and line are you throwing that popper on? I use a moderate fast rod for mine with mono and on bomb casts if I have a bite towards the end of my cast I have trouble keeping them pinned
Travis they still school up,I’ve lived on Oneida for 59 yrs and this year I saw the biggest school of fish busting. It was 100 yards long !
Which part of the lake are you on? I'm over near brewerton
BadassBankAngler 315 ,I live in between Borio’s and the Park !

Dude, is your Dad prior Air Force? If so, please thank him for his service and pass on a heart felt AIM HIGH!!!

Try braid with mono leader braid has no stretch either that or straight braid I do straight braid on few top waters
I’ve fished one of the Finger Lakes.
That one.
My home lake! Just curious why don't you think it's good to fun-fish?
Ole pops got some more spawns in him!
Leonard! “I think you’ll get 3”... LMAO!!!
Pops is cool, he’s a smallie fighter! Booooom
Hey man I gotta get out on the Potomac with you. When is the best time? Your dad is very proud of you, keep up the great work!
Hey a bad day off fishing is better than a good of work. LOL
I live in NY and avoid Oneida. Way overfished imo
Luck Brother
DUDE! You. Didn’t even let us see Pops catch his first fish! What’s up with that? Lol
Wasn’t this the boater boater draw?
Common Travis, get some positive vibes going!
I also use left-handed spinning reels and right-handed casting. Wonder if that's a WI thing.
i do that also and i'm from n.w. indiana
I do that also. But I couldn’t reel a left handed bait caster to save my life.
I do this also
You should have seen the fishing on Oneida 40-50 years ago. The Yellow Perch where as thick as fleas on a Alabama dog Walleye too. Not anymore
My dad said the same thing!
@@Gusherjoose315 I've heard all the old timers say this. Wish I could have seen it!
Cmon trav, land that fish for pops. Lol
Hammer em next time
