One of the most respected midfielders of his generation, Clarence Seedorf spent time with some of football’s elite during a career of huge success.
The only player to have won the Champions League with three different clubs, the best football of Seedorf’s career came in the colours of AC Milan, though not before a short stint at city rivals Inter.
Seedorf signed for Inter in a big-money deal from Real Madrid after a successful spell in Spain, though his two seasons proved largely underwhelming before a swap-deal involving Francesco Coco saw him cross the San Siro divide.
One contribution the Inter Milan faithful will not forget, however, is Seedorf’s brace of stunning strikes in a 2-2 home draw with fierce rivals Juventus in March 2002.
The Dutchman opened the scoring after just six minutes with a thumping left-footed effort from distance, before rescuing a point for Inter in the final minute with another blockbuster effort from way outside the box.
