Hey, I am new at this -- I have a 24V max 775 and I have it hooked up to an AC/DC power controller that outputs 3-12V at 2A, the motor is running fine and working to move my load, but when I go to measure the voltage at the motor there is a drop in voltage from the dial voltage. If I turn the speed controller to output 3.5V I am reading 2V at the motor with my multimeter. Can you help me understand this?

Check first, that ur panel is giving minimum 12v 4a. Otherwise it's difficult for controller to push small watts to run the motor. B'coz that big boy do require huge power!!!

Recently I bought 12v motor speed controller from eBay
My motor makes noise at the lower speed
When check the voltage with multimeter I find out that the speed controller changes voltage not amp
Is this how we supposed to be ?
And if I want to change amperage output not voltage is there any solution to that ? Or I just have to deal with the noise?
If you using pwm, it did not change voltage (may be the voltage drop slightly). You may be bought speed controller that alter voltage output. That is why a motor makes noise at lower speed. You should PWM speed controller.

@@ariell4416 I use 20 gauge solder on small wires. solid, not rosin core or flux core. use paste or liquid flux, make sure wires clean. sand paper on pin and wire if need to. it takes a little practice to make neat connections. it's easy

This is for DC only, like automotive applications. For AC you need a variac (large and heavy) or an SCR based speed controller which can switch AC.

pls tell me, let's say i connect the dc motor to a water pump with unregulated power source of 12v, the motor can turns the turbine continuously with no problem. but since i want to regulate the volume of the water flow out of the water pump so that it does not pump out so much volume of water, hence i will dial the knob down so that the motor runs slower..
now the question is, when the motor runs slower , does output torque to the motor also decreases ? can it still now turns the turbine of the water pump ? to push the water up ?
i want to make a project require the knowledge of this, in order to know if this pwm speed controller for the dc motor suitable for my application or not.

Yeah you need either a speed controller like this or change the power source to a lower amp. I will upload a new video tonight about a power adapter,which suits for your application.

@@philliple288 Oh, I see, you said your power input is 150W right? So then it gonna be an issue for this PWM speed controller, because if your motor takes any load greater than 10A this module can't handle. You need to take a higher amp PWM controller. Btw, what's your application? Try using thick wires (18AWG or 16AWG) , don't use thin cheap wires.
@@LahisTechLT Please help I was use 16 AWG wires it is still getting hot so, I stooped and run one more time , my motor 775 12V - 150W , 13000RPM I use battery 12V 9AM , I did order speed controller(( 10 AM )) do you thing that is good enough ? , and change the wire 14 or 12 AWG ? after that I will let you know what going on okay I need your help

no it doesn't step up the voltage. It works 0-40v 10A and pwm output provides according to the remaining battery voltage.
