thank you so so much for this!!!! my chapter 1 test is in 2 days and the keypoints are making my life so much easier😭 ive been stressin myself out for days😭
i look forward to seeing the rest of your videos throughout the semester:)
If you have been doing your homework I'm sure you will be fine. The first chapter is the hardest!
Great video! Is it possible to do another example but this time having 4 keypoints (2 points per curve)?
For f(x)=1/x. I normally just use (1,1) and (-1, -1) but you can certainly use something like (2, 1/2) or (1/2, 2) to get a few more points on either side of those key points. Simply apply the mapping rule to them as well and that will give you another method of checking that you are in the right place on the coordinate plane 😊
@@mshavrotscanadianuniversit6234 thank you
Ms. Havrot can you give me an example of all possible transformations (a, k, d and c ) applied to the parent function of quadratic, square root, reciprocal, and absolute value? thank you
As long as you can follow the rules in “Mapping Rules” and you know the key points to the parent functions you should be able to do any transformations.
Hello, where can I find the text book?
If you mean the teachers solution book here it is. Mr Kennedy has the solutions by chapter so you can google the solutions by chapter. Here is chapter 1
