The rollercoaster-ride along memory-lane clearly caught me off guard in cinema. A masterpiece about what's important in life, about what you should let go and what to keep by all means. Even though it's been more than three years, I realized this simple truth these days...
It's a tricky one. Great art so often requires great pain, whether personal, interpersonal, or societal, as art is the expression of the tensions that produce such pain. There are cultures that have no art or no meaningful art. They tend to be very hollow and devoid of any inner fire or vibrancy. They're happy and content, but vacant. I would say that letting go is as double edged as keeping hold, and just as harmful, albeit in a different way.
This movie I’ve watched twice. First time months after my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Second time a few months after he passed away and needed to some way remind myself as much life can be beautiful, it also reminds there are painful events. Darkness it is in the sweet irony but alas life can be so too. For I’ve heard many pages of book or two or more to tell but just as melodies began to tell a story so a book, story or a life. That song don’t know why does that to me but reminds me that even my darkest moments there is beautiful moments too. So I must go on and for the treasured memories💖.
I’m listening to this track over and over and over and over.......and OVER. Pumps me up at the gym. Genius Masterpiece. Saw Nightwish in their Decades tour...AMAZING Performance!!!
Nightwish IS AMAZING. He (they) needs to be doing movie scores and soundtracks. (Unfortunately, I don't really have it like that to produce a movie at the moment)
The Snowman was Tuomas Whittman's childish representation of his father (Mr. White = Mr. Whittman). He had lacked a father for so long and so he searched for him inside his creative mind. (The Snowman had pilot's goggles, a pilot's hat, etc). However, not having him there for him never allowed him to leave childhood correctly, therefore it came back to haunt him due to the trauma of watching him commit suicide. It's a beautifully written film.
@@SpookiCooki Absolutely not! His father is alive and his has always been a healthy family. As for the movie, Tuomas said that nothing in it is based on his own life, it's only imagination and inspiraton drawn from a few of his favourite works of art.
Its like a theme soundtrack for an amusement ride. The theme u would hear before you have ur last ride of the day. I really wish Nightwish owned an amusement park I can imagine the music u would hear walking in the park and experience all rides, activities and a concert were Nightwish would play for their fans. Wouldn't that be a dream for Tuomas to have? Like a wish that comed true. Would make everyone happy.
Can you imagine an amusement park that included their full list of songs, from the very first to the most recent, including film scors tracks? It would need to be a very large park.
To be fair, you are right. I myself have not yet purchased this yet because I'm waiting to see if they'll sell it digitally. But I object to denying artists the payoff for their hard work, as an aspiring artist myself. I don't mind people getting stuff illegally so long as they do inevitably pay the makers for their work.
I've watched the film maybe four or five times now. The script and sfx might not be as polished as some films, but it describes the loss of mind well, and as a fantasy piece to describe an inner battle to reclaim self, it is without parallel. There's tonnes of "redemption" films, "coming of age" films, "heroic last stand" films, but very very few "coming of self" films.
referring to Pip Williams? He almost always did the Orchestrations. But in coorperation with Tuomas, so in the end, it's still Nightwish. It's a special project so sure they get some help...
Listened and watched (again). It may be quite basic, as films go, but I consider it to explore the nature of mind itself and that's a subject writers tend to avoid.
I don't consider this true Nightwish. The original album was given to someone (can't remember his name) and he re.....imagined it into what you hear now. This is kinda like a cover from another band, sounds good but nothing like the original.
Nagraj płytę, zaśpiewaj to porównamy. Stwórz coś równie dobrego to wtedy pogadamy...

This music just makes me realize how beautiful and rich can someone's soul and spirit be ...❤

Tuomas Is the higest level of musical Genius of XXI century
Don't think he wrote the movie score
He did. With Pip Williams
@@arwenphoenix1 Petri Alanko did*

Tobias Sammet?

Josephetsonchien
And it's based on Tuomas life. He witnessed his father commit suicide.
Holopainen? I don't think so.

I'm sorry to tell you that Tuomas father died 4th feb 2021 ❤
The true Gods of the genre.
Tuomas is a fucking genius ! Nightwish is not just a Symphonic Metal band now...
and now? I think they are 😖
Last ride of the day

beautiful~~ it left me in tears
+Tinka van den Hazel I know, same here, Holopainen is a trully genius, now marry me...
KonehoMatt okay can we do a Nightwish themed party? :D
7:30 is the moment when i die because of too much musical genius
+Maja Jędrzejczyk Last Ride of the Day thrown in at the end? Really liked it too
It just complimented the particular scene from the movie so well...
Yeah, I love The bagpipes since How to train your dragon had some bagpipes in it's Original Soundtrack!
I died about 2 minutes before that
Uillean pipes. Not bagpipes
Nightwish is just a dream from an amazing composer
This song is just amazing!
Let's go back in time where live was great back then who agrees with me?
That left me with goosebumps! Very nicely done Nightwish, very nice indeed :)
How can I let you go Nightwish?!
Holly Fu*k ! pure genius !

*GOOSEBUMPS*
"I'VE GOT YOU NOW! I'M ALL THE FUTURE YOU'LL EVER HAVE, BUDDY!"
Why is everyone freaking out about 7:30. Shits go down at 5:16 ffs !!! EPIC.
You have to see the movie to understand :)
What a powerful, energetic, yet dark song! This is perfection! :)
Probably the most epic song of all the brilliance The Score contains ^_^. Wonder how a NW vs Hans Zimmer would sound...

There is no possible words to express myself when I hear this...
Maybe :)
EPIC.
6:28 suddenly becomes so tense
This does sound really good!
A movie scored by a combination of the two of them would be EPIC
GOOSEBUMPS EVERYWHERE!!!
Oh my.....
what a power I feel !
Yo amo el genio de este wn :3 jahsja, su música me lleva a la mierda :B jahsjah. OTRO NIVEL!.
referring to Pip Williams? He almost always did the Orchestrations. But in coorperation with Tuomas, so in the end, it's still Nightwish. It's a special project so sure they get some help...
it sounds like Celldweller and Pirates of the Caribbean (Hans Zimmer) had a baby
if so it needs a circle of dust remix
So powerful!!!
Those who either came from Joe Hogan Art or like an action tense music scene: 6:23
Oh thanks so much! :)
the single person who disliked this is wrong
The person who didn't like this was the snowman.
Who listen in 2024.
Listened and watched (again). It may be quite basic, as films go, but I consider it to explore the nature of mind itself and that's a subject writers tend to avoid.
nightwish vs. hans zimmer: nightwish wins by epicsness
WOW doesn't cover it but this song hits the spot
great... this is just amazing.. so the movie..¡¡ T.T
IT NEVER WAS- JUST A ... THE BEST
;--------; El papá y el recuerdo que tanto lo atormentaban por fin los dejaba libres
This is a child of Tuomas and Petri Alanko
Inject 5:25 into my veins
Two Steps From Hell+Audiomachine+Immediate Music+X-ray Dog+Hans Zimmer+Nightwish= God's Music
Jan Esguerra meeeeeh... There are some even greater talents out there
7:02 - 7:23 new ring tone?
Nice to know you support the bands you like.
Oh wait....
Last Ride of the Day :)
Awesome! *_*
This is love
what if instead of a nightwish vs zimmer we had a nightwish AND zimmer track
That track would be f**king EARGASMIC and SO popular worldwide!
Any chance you could share the link with us then?
What kind of style is this
Symphonic metal
First Class
Ha. God wishes he could make music that good.
Polish fans will hear this song during Polish Imaginaerum movie premiere in march :)
5:24 i creamed myself
7:28 terminal lucidity be like
i came for hours after listening to this
what is that album where is this track. i want to knowledge..
It is not an real album actually, this song is coming from the Imaginaerum Movie. ;)
Imaginaerum, the score
The music for the film was released as an album.
I want this song complete, i just have the 6:03 cut song. Any link to download it?
can i have a download link please? It's okay if you don't want to though. I have been looking for full version everywhere.
This album was released first.
dang, never heard this
7:25
SO. FUCKING. EPIC.
Buy it!
Each beat is like a chord pulled from the string of an exploding golden harp... in the background of Satan's orchestra.
IMO it would be a draw. Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, The Lion King to name a few of Zimmer's works.
Which Lion King did Hans Zimmer compose? Did he have to do away with Elton John, the actual composer of the Lion King music?
This is ARC-77, we're en route to the target.
Always double tap-captain fordo
Where the fuck can I buy this??????? It's so fucking EPIC!
I t would be AMAZING!
hmm tempting i could use a blunt... but its not worth it cus thi is too good
FUCKING CLIMAXXXXXX
Tuomas didn't do this version
only 33,100 views? lying.
no wkoncu.. cos nowego
i thought if she were the one to cut him, he'd bleed forever...
It would sound like this: /watch?v=Yli1QjdJIX8

well, guys, where is metal? where is singing?
It's a movie soundtrack, not normal metal album. Normal metal album from NW is called "Imaginaerum". This is "Imaginaerum - The Score"
@@apolonia2000saga thank you, just wanted to ask why it is missing in the album.
thx, you solved the question.
No, thanks, I already found the complete version illegally. Bye.
