Hi Lynn… I would like to case this idea but instead of a card I want to make my friend a hardboard tag as a decor piece … I got several sizes of Tim’s tags I want to pretty much follow your idea as I bought all these dies too. Can I ask how long it took you in real time to make ? Thank you
Hi Candace! I have never had that problem. I just checked some of my backgrounds and they are fine...no mica rubbing off. I don’t know if it could be the paper you are using. It may not stay on papers that have a glossy finish...although I haven’t tried that yet..that is something that you could check. I used the Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock. The packaging states that the sprays will “adhere to paper, canvas, wood, fabric and other porous surfaces”. One other thing that I could suggest is to try a matte spray fixative...but be sure to test this on a sample first before you go to your project. I really hopes this helps! Take care!

Hello! The product information states that “These mica stains adhere to paper, wood, fabric, canvas, and other porous surfaces.” I think the key here is that it works best on a porous surface. I have used it on black, white and Kraft cardstocks of different weights and it works beautifully. I think it might rub off of glossy Cardstock or vellum paper....but I have not tried that...so you may want to play around and see what happens. Hope this helps! Have a great day!😊

Do you have any issues with the mica sprays rubbing off when you touch them after they dry? That happens to me and I don't know what to do about it.
