In the hcf problem of three kinds of books, the main concept is only half explained. That is each stack should have same number of books. But the main concept of hcf seeks maximum number of books per stack AND all stacks contain equal number of books. Maximum number of books per stack mean minimum number of stacks. Also, my favorite quote for LCM is "LCM is the Larger than the largest OR Equal to the Largest, of the given set of numbers". On the same lines "HCF is the Smallest or the Smaller than the smallest of the given set of numbers". Regards.
