Happy Election Day (hopefully)! Make sure you get out and vote if you haven't already. Take a few minutes of this stressful day an enjoy this video. 🙏🏻
Dear Dr, Roberts. This technique is called the Koren Specific Technique (KST), it is a a new-age chiropractic technique developed by a Chiropractor called Dr. Koren. It is absolute nonsense. I am lawyer, not a chiropractor, but, I think this makes the profession look bad. I am REALLY impressed that you spoke out against this. As a legal professional, I know how hard it is to be critical of colleagues. There is a lot of professional pressure to turn a "blind eye" toward bad actors.
I sure am glad you told us what it's called and why, because the title and narration of the video was not enough for us to catch that in the first instance.
When you mentioned fortune tellers, it took me to my childhood. My grandmother was a fortune teller and a tarot reader. She used several methods similar to the ones used by Sylvia Brown and James Van Praagh. She used these methods of trickery to scam people out of their money. She also did what she called "spiritual body and mind therapy" to "heal people of their physical and emotional ailments. Her techniques for this were very similar to the hand movements used in this video. Chakra stones and sound therapy had also been used. So many people were scammed to the point of poverty by my grandmother and these other so-called professionals. It's really sad. Thank you for exposing these frauds. ❤
TBH I want to start going to chiro because my back is a mess, but I dont want to end up paying for a voodoo doctor to do some pointless bullshit on me.
Unbelievable, just today made appointment with my old chiro, 1 hrs away.. moved r WAY OUT HERE 2 YRS AGO. TRIED THE LOCAL CHIRO IN THIS SMALL TOWN He used those guns, trigger stuff. It was brutal... 3 apps and quit him as did the wife,
I am also a chiropractor in the North Bay of SF Bay Area and I FULLY APPROVE THIS MESSAGE! Thanks doc, I just stumbled on the channel but enjoyed your honest assessment and I too have had the same opinion about a lot of these non chiropractic “techniques“ adversely effecting expectations when and or IF the inquisitive patient researches my profession 🫤
Anyone else notice the moment she grabbed the chart and claimed this patient has "anger" the patient themselves was shocked and was immediately manipulated by being told women don't usually admit when they are angry. Umm what ladies have you hung put with cause I've known a few that have zero problems admitting how angry they are!
Doc you crack me up 😂 but forreal Wtf did we collectively watch? Seems like such bs and unfortunately not everyone does their due diligence on the type of care they choose to receive.
Awesome vid doc! This "technique" always cracked me up. I came across it years ago when ASMR was first a thing, and always wondered what the Chiro community at large thought of KST. There are other docs out there doing it too, but they all look like quacks. Not only that, but there doesn't seem to be a standard of treatment within the KST guidelines. Watching each doc wave their hands over the patient's head is just ludicrous! There's another doc at Van Every who almost doesn't even touch the person's head. And it's done so fast, there's no way the doc is able to "read" the body's energy and process the needed adjustments accurately. Not to mention, how the hell would the skull know what order you ask questions, etc. Anyways, thanks for watching the link I sent. I just wanted to see if this was something real chiros knew about. And if you need a "funny" video to cheer you up, check out Dr. Timmy! th-cam.com/video/VvBegej-cV4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fJXCaBXv5IhJUbTs
That's funny. I commented on that video before they turned comments off and had a whole exchange with the creator about all the reasons what they did was stupid.
Definition of the Placebo Effect with this "energy" stuff. Or people are flat out lying on camera. I'm sure all the "energy" stuff is fine for a relaxing massage, but it's not chiropractic care. I went to a chiropractor for 2 years - only used that device to loosen up my shoulders and specific muscle groups as part of care. That was to aid in creating the mobility needed in those joints. It wasn't a couple of punches down my sternum (seriously, along the sternum? Wasn't event focused on connective tissue, just straight down the middle...ugh... anyway) This woman should open up a psychic shop and sell crystals with the care.... Appreciate you calling this out.
If I walked in, and I saw what was going on. I am asking to see their medical degree, their license, and to see their yelp reviews as well. If they fail to provide me those, or their yelp reviews are low scores....I am walking out to go to a real chiropractor. Also I think I seen your office before when I was living in Nashville TN(Born/raised in South Nashville.) Also what is your thoughts on the Joint Chiropractic place? I use to work there as a receptionist for a temp job.....and I was not too keen on the place.
So much to say. In my opinion this really does give true professionals a bad rap thinking that this is what all chiropractors do. I feel sorry for these patients of hers and falling for the snake oil she is spreading. So sad that people actually fall for this
Another streamer like show some your clips and He sent us all over to give you a follow & you cover a lot things I been telling others it only helps if done right & you show the bad snake-oil Drs Love it keep it going !
I LOVE CHIROPRACTIC, it has given incredible pain treatment and relief for most of my adult life. I hate these kind of quacks for many of the reasons the you cite. I know the benefits of your profession when properly diagnosed and appropriate adjustments are made. When the practice itself is “practiced” by these charlatans it damages the profession. Keep doing these videos, maybe you will help move the needle in the right direction. On a side note, I laughed so hard, I self adjusted several places, my scar tissue is clear😂
I saw that video years ago while searching massage videos. First time I saw it I thought it was so weird. Can't believe people fall for it. I guess placebo effect & confirmation bias can be very powerful & convincing.
Hahaha… I’ve seen that KST video lots because of its ASMR effects lol. I’ve been to a few chiropractors several times and yeah, this technique doesn’t appear to adjust sublexations. It’s probably relaxing though.😂 I’ve watched SO MANY chiropractor videos. There are other KST ones, and one where the chiropractor was checking his own occipital drop as the way to inform him where to use the vibration tool thing. I’ve been trying to find that video again for a long time (asmr reasons once again) hahaha
Dude...keep exposing this nonsense. Lol. This lady is doing some Harry Potter sorcery over here. Im gonna wave my hands over my wife and tell her im checking her sacrum and the results show she robbed a bank at some point. 😂. Corrupted sacrum.
As the saying goes….when Chiros cannot adjust, they resort to those “esoteric” techniques. LOL There is a sector of the market who do not want traditional adjustments; they don’t like the “cracking”. This KST caters to them. Unfortunately, anyone can make up a “technique “, put a name on it and act like it’s valid. CONSUMERS BEWARE
I have been adjusted ALOT and never seen this or done this. She did no adjustments at all. This is crazy. Has she gone to school? Because I believe you have to go to school to become a doctor pretty much. Another thing I’ve noticed is all she focuses on is her head and tailbone!
I was just gonna say and you said it. Playing off emotions. It seems more people needing to see therapists. And the one at the end definitely sounded scripted and trying to sell it for her
The funny thing is, the way he feels about her is the same way most Doctor's feel about Chiro's. Kind of how every Chiropractor I've ever met calls themselves a DR but I have yet to meet one with a doctorate.
I have moved approximately six times in my life. Every time I move, I try to locate a good chiropractor to keep myself in line. So I have been to several different chiropractors throughout my life of moving. However, I have never had a so-called adjustment like what this lady is trying to perform. She is definitely not legit, I know what a good chiropractic adjustment is and this is not it!
This is what I don’t understand about the regulating body of chiropractic. If this “technique” is not officially approved, why is she allowed to use it? Another question I have: does this “chiropractor” honestly think this KST thing works? Or does know it doesn’t work, yet she insists on using it anyway? If she thinks it works, she must be a horrible scientist; if she knows it doesn’t work, she must be a straight-up quack.
NOT trying to be a Karen, but this lady is literally burning all chiropractors. I have had a family member not believe in chiropractors because of people like this! My dad has advanced genetic arthritis and has had both total hip surgery replacements and one foot reconstruction surgery. Parts of his spine is also fused and does not have full range of motion on his neck! Unfortunately doctors diagnosed my dad with severe genetic arthritis when it was too late!!! By the time my dad finally spoke up to me he had given up and I forced him to oficially go to a doctor and get help, get diagnosed it was too late for him. People like this need to be exposed. Thank you Dr. Roberts for existing and exposing people like this.
To quote Gordan Gecko..."a sucker and their money were lucky enough to get together in the first place..." This isn't any different than people paying to have their palms read..."
I agree Doc, I don't know how anyone can look at this and even think there is an adjustment there. I'm early in the video but people please use some common sense.
This lady should be shut down & her license revoked. I as a chiroptactic patient for most of my adult life know more about this profession than this Chiropractor seems to know. This is some batsh!t crazy stuff she gets away with!
.We need a Doctor Sid Williams back to stick up and protect Chiropractic. The CCE is the Chiropratic Board filled with M.D.’S. If you lose your philosophy, you lose your profession. Doc here is calling out bad practices. But, he uses the “Y-Strap” in his practice. Not Chiropratic, nor taught in school.

If these patients are real, then this lady should be in jail for the fraud, if the "patients" are actors or not real, then they are just as guilty as the so called doctor imo
Have you ever seen ‘Daily Max’? 🤣 Young American chap, really lovely, gets street massages from unregistered vendors in countries like the Philippines and this poor kid literally gets brutalised on camera in public 🤣 Its impossible not to watch, even though hes often in serious pain, and hes such an endearing fella.

I early voted in Louisiana, the very first day that I could!
You seem to be in so much pain throughout the video...may be u need some therapy from this lady 🤣🤣
Maga.

What is scary is that she’s not just promoting as a bad actor in health care but mental! She’s posing as a therapist in more ways than one!!
В видео несколько раз сказано, как техника называется
Comment faire semblant sans même rien faire...😡
I saw this lady's video years ago and thought she was scam artist. I'm glad you did video and reassured my thoughts.
You're welcome!
This is definately scam but the video is good for ASMR lovers and nothing more than that.
You hit the nail on the head. She is playing off her patients emotions.
The sigh at 4 minutes man captures the true essence of how i feel when i first saw this technique
I'm so glad you exist doc, Ive watched this and thought the EXACT SAME THING THANK YOU

So glad you showed one of these.
It’s great entertainment
Especially the one where they do husband and wife together.
Her videos were the start of my ASMR journey. I never cared if it helped the patient or not it was just so damn relaxing.
I'm walking out of there and taking that tool with me. She stealing, why can't I? 😅

Just take everything
This is my favourite reaction of you're by far..... as soon as i heard energy i laughed so loud 😂😂😂😂😂
LOL when she said ill adjust the parietal bone. My jaw dropped like lady those bones be fused.
TBH I want to start going to chiro because my back is a mess, but I dont want to end up paying for a voodoo doctor to do some pointless bullshit on me.
She has magic hands! She cured cancer too. What a joke this woman Chiropractic practice.
You are cracking me up.
When you said scripted i was definitely thinking that. "Like dang, she either a pro actress or they rehearsed ALOT😂
I appreciate the history antidote about chiropractic, will definitely look into that

My question would be if these women in the videos are knowing participants in BS or if they actually believe they're being helped.
they believe! 100% They drink the koolaid and they are manipulated by these so called professionals
I find her technique and efficiency amazing. Easiest money ever made.
I feel like anyone with common sense can tell this does absolutely nothing.

Her original video has comments turned off, that's usually a big indicator that the creator of the content doesn't want anyone exposing them.

well, laughter is good medicine too
You are a real doctor and this lady is nuts
I had a chiropractor who used the pro adjuster. It did absolutely nothing to help my headaches and migraines.
Happy someone is calling out these fakes.
Okay, I’m into New Age things, but even I sighed with you at the 4min mark
Thank you for sharing this. Really sad, though.
Lmao that look at 7:40 had me dying
I saw that video years ago while searching massage videos. First time I saw it I thought it was so weird. Can't believe people fall for it. I guess placebo effect & confirmation bias can be very powerful & convincing.
They are all reading from a cue card haha.

There are many of them that do this same exact thing...they license this crap. If people are willing to pay for this oh well, who am I to judge?
@@CountShockula This looks like an insurance scam to me. Hope I'm wrong. But this type of practice should be shut down if its not already.

yes, this is a good detection, it's necessary for real health care. Thankyou.

Totally scripted
This lady cheated all the way to her degree.
