When you putting sealant on engine block and lower engine block, you put sealant on one side on the engine block and the other side sealant on lower cylinder block, is there a reason for this or just personal preference? I've normally seen and done by just putting sealant on both sides on the engine block.
I am pretty sure they are torque to yield so no buy new ones. I believe any bolt that needs a degree torque is TTY and new ones must be used every time.
Hello , this is an old video , but I have a question : I have an n14 s r56 , and the engine has been boosted. The bores have been replaced with new made of cast iron, hybrid turbo and software. The pistons have been replaced with new one. The problem is the BOV turns off when you boost the turbo(maybe can’t handle the pressure) . Every piston has been replaced with new one, and every one has been broken. On the diagnostic It says “ super knocking (detonation) in the cylinders. Can someone help me why would this be happening? Could this be from the BOV dropping the pressure ? Thank you for every one who suggests a solution ❤

Did you just hone the cylinder with the broken piston or did you rebore it to OD? Did you use acid to dissolve piston aluminium residue in cylinder wall?

M10 bolts there are 10 of them reuse the old washer 1st stage 30Nm 2nd stage 90 degree 3rd stage 90 degree For the 2 M8x95 bolt use new washer that comes with the set 1st stage 15Nm 2nd stage 90 degree 3rd Stage 90 degree And for the smallest m8x35 bolt below the solenoid 1st stage only at 30Nm Never oil the new bolt set and do not remove the coating.
HI~ I use a plastic gauge, but it's not in the video. If the cylinder block is set to 77.00MM, the genuine piston ring does not need to measure the gap.
No sleeve, if your cylinder is scorned you need to overbore all 4 cylinders and use oversized pistons. I own an Alfa as well and they have sleeve cylinder and easy to replace.

Do you use back the main bolts and rod bolts? Is so how much do tighten main and rod to. Both stages.

take it to a professional mini or bmw mechanic. Sounds like you have one messed up engine.

When setting the timing n the hole on the flywheel gives u all pistons at the same position is the timing correct

Hello, I have a question, do you know if the n14 have the cilinder sleeve or the cilinder is a full piece of alluminium?
No sleeve, if your cylinder is scorned you need to overbore all 4 cylinders and use oversized pistons. I own an Alfa as well and they have sleeve cylinder and easy to replace.
