Thanks to you I found hellcat rods and catch the fever. I’ve been beating the banks here in Tennessee and met some great people and even some professional catfishers. Which made it a lot easier to learn and even get my first hellcat love your videos man keep it up!
Trimmed up a pork roast last week and used the scrap fat as bait. Figured what the heck. Worth a cast or 2. Caught fish for as long as the bite lasted. Stayed on the hook for a couple fish usually. Some days it seems they'll eat anything. Other days they get pretty picky. But that's catfishing in a nutshell.
Grabbed some at Cat Con this year, love what this guy is doing. It's a pretty good bait. Opened the bag fished 6 days in a row with it, and it maintained its firmness at least 80% as good day 6 as day 1.
I've used another brand of Asian carp and did really well on a very slow day. It goes with me now as a backup bait. Fresh Shad is still my number one bait.
Hey I grew up on blue river! And had a buddy who bought some of that blue river carp at the catacon this year. He said his first time fishing he didn't catch with it but caught 4 on shad fishing next to it
Crazy you said seattle that's my hometown, lol I've been down south been fishing for a lil less then a yr now learned from a Mississippi Gal ..was at Bass pro asking do yall have Bait deter Melbourne uses lol anyways walked out with a King Kat rod that was on sale now I need a good bait...I need that Carp bait you have...
I actually got to take Nick (the guy that makes this bait) out on my boat with his mom. We caught a Flathead on his bait! The first time I used it I caught some blues that were around 20 pounds too! I think it works good while dragging.
Hey Deter , got a question . Where did you get your camera mount collar ? I love the footage from where it sits . Great video as always , you never give anything less . 😌😌😌
I’d be very interested to see how it performs in waters where the Asian carp are native. Could be a lot easier than snagging one or getting one to jump in the boat 😂😂. Bon Peche Dieter🤘🤘
I know you have covered it but what size leader line do you usually use.I am going to try some of the carp bait this week.I got high hopes for it. Thanks
the carp is naturally oily, it's actually it's almost as good a protein and Omega 3 as wild caught salmon, because it is a vegetarian fish, no mercury or lead in it. They were farming them and got loose during a flood , anything that it's used for is a good thing because they invasive
When was the last time you fished lake Monticello in SC ? I like to fish it during the boating season because it’s not got the pleasure boating traffic due to the restrictions.
Most of the time if I'm going fishing on a Sunday afternoon I'm not making time to go catch bait first. I just stop and grab some chicken breast or beef livers on the go
I've been wondering if that carp bait works. I am going to try the shad flavor bait I fish a reservoir that is shallow and just a little bigger than a puddle about 16ft at it's deepest point and has limited fish.
You can check this bait out here: www.bluerivercarp.com
Just ordered the 16oz garlic and there Signature 16oz ... Thanks Dieter,I'll let you know how they turn out!!

And I'll try just about anything Dieter treis.
It's fun to see how this stuff performs.....I will try it again now that the fishing is picking up!
Where can we order this new bait? I’d love to try it on these Louisiana waters
@@robbietucker7325 the website is in the description..... www.bluerivercarp.com

Thanks for doing this video!
I prefer skipjack or gizzard shad but my backup is chicken.. easy to get and always catches fish. Caught several 30# class blues on chicken.
I tried their garlic flavored carp bait and caught several. If I can’t catch any shad, I’ll use that Asian carp bait. I like it.
Not to be nosey but what flavor did you use or liked the best ?
@@1Whitetail garlic is the only one I tried and it did well for me.
@@TexasFishinGal1 thanks for the reply I'll check it out.

I see them rattles on the rigs also! I'm over here taking notes from the best in the game! Always
We use fresh asian carp and have had good luck
I thought I recognized the area! I threw that 47 back for you to catch!
Great video, Dieter
I got a 55 Ib Blue and a bunch of channels and blues with the Shad flavor.
Dieter when you get ready to try the Mississippi, you need to try around st Louis. I would be interested in booking it with you
We used some fermented mullet once that mess was rough ,

for cats, do you keep like for lobster, u keep the smaller ones to med for eat and release the big ones cause those the ones that mate
I just ordered some of their shad infused yesterday. We’ll see what it does.
I wonder if the carp bait would work better when it’s used in warmer conditions so the oils can spread out better just 🤔🤔 be safe 👏🏻🙏✌️

I found it on Amazon....they make several different ones in the $14-$30 range

That's what in talking about.
Dang oil those reels my man. Lol
Can you leave that bait in the car,or in the ice box after using it?
Come fish with me on the Mississippi in Missouri. We can fill your truck asian card
You have any madkatz rods you want? I'm trying to get into catfishing because I'm mostly crappie and bass.
Sorry, I don't own any of those....
If i get sone which should i try first?
You wouldn’t leave it in your car, however you could put it in your buddies car…😅 order some today!
Hew depth finder sir, nice. What model did you get?
It's an older HDS-10
We use Asian carp on the Mississippi not hard to catch they will knock you out of the boat to get in.
I did this chicken won out carp is tough and stays on good but didn't catch no fish
Not a big fan of "bagged" fish. Maybe I'm wrong?
Wil they work in texas, and will it catch bigger fish?
doesn't seem like it. but imma try it anyways
How did you put eyes on the no roll sinkers
They actually sale them. Or u could put a carter pin in them
I use 10 lb test and loop it and place on slide swivel that way if snagged it breaks and u don’t loose a 30 lb leader w float
@@kencleg7721 I like that 💡
Do you still use the Piscifun reels?
I still have them, and they work fine, but I am using the Ancient Mariners this year.
I love my piscifun !
Do you feel that Asian Carp would make good Cut Bait if caught fresh?
👍👍👍👍🎣
Fish eat fish
......and birds, and mollusks, and snakes, and grass....
Lol stays on hook cause nothing hit it
Nice .. you saying chicken , just a chicken beast from market Sir..🤓🤓
