בחודש דצמבר נערך אירוע זיכרון בבית הכנסת הגדול בפריז לרגל שנה לפיגוע הנורא שהתרחש ב'היפר כשר' וגבה את חייהם של ארבעה יהודים. את האירוע יזם איש התקשורת מארה"ב נחום סיגל, וחיבר אליו את ה'קונסיסטואר' - מועצת הקהילות הדתיות בצרפת ואת משרד התפוצות בישראל בראשותו של השר נפתלי בנט שפרשו את חסותם על הערב, כשעל ההפקה כולה אחראי המפיק דוד פדידה.
במהלך האירוע הופיעו על הבמה יהורם גאון שהפנט את הקהל בקולו הייחודי, אוהד מושקוביץ, איציק דדיה, הכוכב עוזיה צדוק - זוכה 'בית הספר למוסיקה' שאף ביצע את שיר הגמר 'שמע ישראל', אבי מילר, הכוכב הצרפתי עמיר חדד ועוד. המופע כולו לווה על ידי תזמורת סימפונית מורחבת בניצוחו של המאסטרו גרשון פריישטט.

Je pense à toutes ses familles qui ont vécu et vivent encore des drames, des guerres sournoises de cette nouvelle ère, qui laisse des parents, des grands-parents, des époux, des épouses, des amis, des amies dans une détresse totale, sans réponses à leur douleur, ou certains se servent du drame des uns pour assouvir leur soif de victoire, mes pensées vont tout particulièrement aux parents qui sont dans l'ombre avec une blessure béante et qui ne tirent pas de l'horreur une jouissance personnelle, pour se mettre en exergue.
Merci pour cette belle chanson qui est un hommage à l'injustice de la mort lorsqu'elle n'est pas choisie par Dieu.

Votre texte est émouvant, c est vrai que nos parents sont sacrés. Je fais tout pour ma Maman veuve qui a besoin d aide, elle est marocaine et je donnerais la prunelle de mes yeux pour qu elle soit bien entourée, choyée, aimée ce dont tout ce qu une Maman a donné, de l amour lorsque nous étions enfants. C est cela le respect des parents, savoir donner pour eux sans rien attendre en retour. C est le plus beau cadeau que l on puisse donner à nos parents, les accompagner dans la dignité, l amour, la paix dans l âme jusqu'à leur dernier souffle. Je sais que j' ai de la chance d avoir ma Maman car des millions d enfants dans le monde n ont pas ce bonheur d avoir une Maman qui n a pas de prix. Il faut savoir profiter de nos parents au jour le jour un maximun car personne ne sait de quoi sera fait demain. C est vrai auss quei perdre un de ses parents c est un demi orphelin, les deux, tous les repères sont perdus
