- Taken on Thursday, Oct 20, 2022. Railfanning for 2 Hours & 23 Minutes from 6:30 A.M. - 8:53 A.M.
Due to some corrupted files & uploading issues, this video ended up being a week late, was meant to be posted the next day or the day after.
Finally, had the opportunity to railfan at Tarrytown with a few rare catches such as P42DC leading train 63 & an M3 providing service as MNR Train 805. (Train 805 terminates at Poughkeepsie).
Usually, the 1st sets of trains coming from Poughkeepsie are the 1st to go back, but because 806 broke down at Croton-Harmon, there wasn't another "direct" train that was available at GCT. So, the M3 was use for service as 805 so passengers can transfer at Croton-Harmon to continue their trip.
Enjoy.
Nothing like the sound of a Nathan 5 chime horn. Love it 😀
As a Poughkeepsie resident, I’m glad we have our express and super express trains, but we’ve had the same passenger cars since the 80s while all other lines have gotten new ones. We’re the step child of the suburban lines, even though we pack trains.
And in the spot, the coaches are mixed up that is something I don’t like
Seems like a great place to film, with multiple spots and different angles - like the center platform spot. Never been there. Anyone mind you filming?
5:00 It looks like as if it were going backwards
