Nice job. Great inspiration. Excellent results. Moxon vises are ideal for small shops / workbenches. You might consider selling the knobs.

I really like this build, especially since it doesn't require you to modify your workbench. Great storage idea, too. Nice work!

IMO it would be better to have the threaded rods attached to the knobs. When the knobs are tightened the rods extend toward the back instead of poking out.

    3. comments for your glue ups.
    1. Cauls. Cuts way down on how many clamps you need.
    2. Salt, or sand. Sprinkle a little in your glue and when you clamp them, they won't move around so much.
    3. Glue. You can use much less.

I started whipping one of these up myself. I'm not finished with mine yet though. I just got my boards glued together as I was in the same boat with not having them thick enough. Two boards together gets me the perfect thickness though. Just have to make the holes now so this was great to watch. My simple brain was curious why the oblong holes on the face but I figured it out. I'm used to welding not woodworking so some processes are similar and other very different.
All in all though, nice video! It helped answer a few questions I had about my own vise.

I made pretty much the same thing but on a tighter budget. I used regular old F clamps in place of the threaded rods. It works and I didn't have to buy anything else.
PS great channel and so happy I found it!

    Great vidao. Nice vise.
I think making the elongated hole would have worked better with a forstner bit, if you have the right size.

Perigo! Duas barras expostas podem causar sério acidente. Cubra com dois pedaços de madeira polidos.

It can be, you’re correct. Good idea about putting some wood at the end.
