- Wang Chung are an English new wave band, formed in London in 1980 by Nick Feldman, Jack Hues and Darren Costin. The name Wang Chung means "yellow bell" in Chinese (黃鐘, pinyin: huáng zhōng; Wade-Giles: huang chung), and is the first note in the Chinese classical music scale. The band found their greatest success in the US, with five Top 40 hits there, all charting between 1983 and 1987, including "Dance Hall Days" (No. 16 in the summer of 1984), "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" (No. 2 in 1986) and "Let's Go!" (No. 9 in 1987).
The female back up singer is Siedah Garrett. She is also one of the writers of Michael Jackson's 'Man In The Mirror'.
Deborah Christine "Siedah" Garrett (born June 24, 1960) is an American singer and songwriter who has written songs and performed backing vocals for many recording artists in the music industry, such as Michael Jackson, The Pointer Sisters, Brand New Heavies, Quincy Jones, Tevin Campbell, Donna Summer, Madonna, Jennifer Hudson among others. Garrett has been nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Original Song, and won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 50th Grammy Awards for co-writing "Love You I Do" (performed by Jennifer Hudson) for the 2006 musical film, Dreamgirls.

It's deeply sad that despite his deep bass being a big part of what made this their only smash hit, they've erased Trumpet Guy and his name from their history. After I'm guessing they ditched him, the one with the long narrow face (if they're erasing the real singer's name, I'll erase his too) started lip-syncing it whenever they performed.
@darkarima, I’m pretty sure Nick Feldman did the deep voice… Just check out the acoustic live version! They also had some more smash hits such as “Hypnotize Me” and “Dance Hall Days.” This is also probably the only music video for this song that I have seen this guy. This video is also very fake. You could see Nick Feldman, shouting “Everybody!” At 2:23, when it’s definitely Jack Hues’ voice. And, when you look at the Wikipedia page for the album this is on, Mosaic, and go to the “Personnel” section, you could see that none of the people mentioned who played horns sang backing vocals.
Made no.2 on the US Billboard 100 chart in late 1986.

In the 70s and 80s this was common practice for virtually all singers on planet Earth when they performed on music TV shows recorded in studios. These type of shows were extremely popular back then.
Live performances were reserved for ticket-sold concerts.

The guitar guy originally sang the deep bass voice, but they soon added the extra singer to handle it. But he does do it a little better, and also adds it throughout the rest of it. That's my role in our cover band on this one, as well as key bass, key synth and key sax/horns. Fun!
Really deserved their success, did no good over here in Britain but cracked the US.. The great Wang Chung..

There’s no need for lip syncing, they sound as good live as they do on their albums. Lip syncing is something I’ve never understood, just why?
In the 70s and 80s lip syncing was used practically everywhere on planet Earth for in-studio performances recorded for the then so popular music TV shows. Live performances were reserved for concerts for which people paid for their tickets.
In this one, they're not. But after they ditched Trumpet Guy (the one with the deep bass voice that was a big part of making it a smash hit), Long Narrow-Faced Guy started lip-syncing his part and they've erased Trumpet Guy's name from history.
