- This run uses a route I drafted that was then improved in a community effort. The goal of this run is to beat the game as fast as possible, which requires a certain amount of wonder seeds per world. Throughout the run, I collect purple coins to be able to exchange them for seeds at shops. Nabbit/Yoshi are allowed but not used because, despite taking no damage, they lose time by not being able to use powerups, and switching to them loses 5 seconds. Halfway through the run, I acquire the Fast Dash badge and do most of the second half with it.
This is the current best known time for any%, but it's just week 1 and route improvements have already been made, so expect better times soon. This was a fairly decent run with no big mistakes that should showcase what speedruns for this game will look like. The movement is fluid and responsive, but unfortunately the run is slightly tainted by the heavy amount of dialogue and cutscenes in between levels. Routing and running it has been a lot of fun so far and I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops :)

It's interesting that you don't go for the speed badge. I assume that's for collecting purple coins on some stages that you don't even need that?
I assume you mean Jet Run in World 1. That badge is locked behind two extra levels that lose 2:30 minutes, and its top speed is equal to the Fast Dash badge in World 4 which loses almost no time to get, although it accelerates faster. People have been testing whether it can save those 2:30 minutes throughout the run, and it looks like it may be the case, but nothing is set in stone yet.
@@Adrylek ok yea that’s what I meant for jet run. Didn’t make it to world 4 yet, but that’s interesting to know about that. I guess the only thing would be is if routing the other stages if someone does route the jet run at some point.

all normal characters are the same except daisy saves a couple seconds in item park with a different route
