It is so obvious that you have done this for a long time. It's wonderful to see a pro at work...
This is the first time I have watched any of your videos. I would make the suggestion that there are more written comments/instructions are the on the screen throughout the process so that anyone watching fully understands what you are doing and why. It would also be helpful if the amounts of clay either in grams or ounces, used is mentioned. Although the clay packets are shown at the beginning at the same time put the names up at the same time on the screen. I hope you view these comments in a positive light and helpful because at the end the items are so beautiful
I see the link above now.. It says click to see 'tools and ingredients' but she wants to charge you $1 for it.. It's not much but I feel like If I have to pay money for 'the instructions' then it isnt hers anymore if 'you bought' it.. Like buying her cookbook and then baking a cake recipe and telling all your friends it's HER cake.. Feels awkward like why even try.. or watch the video?
Some of Ludmila's videos have more captions than others indicating the thickness of the clay, etc, but some videos do not. I am a polymer clay artist as well who has derived much inspiration from Ludmila over the years. I have come to the conclusion about Ludmila that she is a creative genius with polymer clay and she creates as she goes. She tells you the clay she is using but the exact amounts I'm not sure she even knows herself, that is what being highly creative and creating as you go is all about. I suggest, as I did, that you stop and start the video and take notes, then, create YOUR OWN work of art having been inspired by her.

I've got a slab of Charoite that has some clear quartz & some orange Tinkasite (sp?) in it. It's such a beautiful stone to work with, & your creations definitely rival the beauty of the actual rock!!!

Thank you, dear Maria!! I did this because usually I used my faux stones for making polymer clay jewelry and I no need the back side because I making a polymer back side ^_^
But sometimes I also making a totally covering with stone pattern of cabochon! And then you can use it for wire wrapping techniques also! ;)

I think she implied that she probably crumbled up pardo translucent clay and added mica powder,if you google pardo clay I'm sure you can find some.

Is the materials used OK to place in an Aquarium? I would love to make some these for it, providing it will not be fatal to the fish
Christine, I don't think so it is a reallygood idea! Hopefully you can find the answer is you ask Google... and probably the inks(if you will use alcohol inks) they will come out from clay, but I'm not really sure..
I think better to use a real stones.. by the way, can buy them with pretty cheap price on Aliexpress or any other shop with tumbled stones.. if you want I can find some links for you!))

Hi there ! What's its use the glaze ?
Maya Souk some of her things she uses a UV polish and UV light. others you dint need to polish because after sanding well and buffing well it will come to a brilliant shine like shown in her pics. :) if you look up, "how to sand and buff polymer clay to a shine" you should find some really good videos showing how to get them to look like hers without glaze

What you're doing is so complicated, I doubt if anyone could copy it! Amazing!
You need to free your mind of structure, and never attempt to 'copy' another's work,
but use what appeals to you with your own interpretation.

Why do you leave the backs black or tan??
She didn't answer for a long time, but as a jeweler I might help you understand. Most logical reason is the finished "stones" are destined for rings or pendants, where the back doesn't show.

Your charoite looks soooo real! I just purchased some barrel shape beads of charoite from China, and I now wonder if they are polymer clay beads! They have little even sparkly bits where the stone is pink, instead of jagged crystal lines and too circular swirls. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks for a remarkable tutorial!
I couldn't understand what the whitr crumbly stuff was and what it did until the end on the close up. Simple gorgeous! I also like the grater effect. I was wondering if I could do that & now I know I can! Thank you!💋
Charoite is my all time favourite stone, and I have hundreds, I love the intricacy & depth of the colours and channels in the stone, you have done a wonderful job recreating it, thank you for showing us how you go about it. 👍👌
This ended up so beautiful. What is the goldish crumbly stuff you shoveled into it and put down the holes. That is what made it look real.

Кажется, что у Вас все идеально получается и я у Вас учусь не простому ремеслу...Я как раз хотела попробовать сделать Чароит..Но я начинающий полимерист и у меня нет пока опыта...( не смогла все купить для имитации этого красивого камня). Начала с пейзажной яшмы...Все цвета хорошо намешала но результат мне не понравился в результате. Фактура получилась хорошо, а вот цвета смешались и стали с серым отливом . Подскажите, что могло произойти....У меня две версии: 1) глина после разминания стала мягкая и все кусочки (после терки) слиплись(у Вас они не слипаются), 2) Я вместо жемчужного порашка( очень хотелост попробовать, хотя у яшмы нет перломутровых включений) я добавила тени для век...(я экспериментатель) Ну и , может быть нет пока чернил и я их не добавляла...Очень длинно получилось....извините...С уважением, Ирина
Людмила, огромное спасибо за мастер-класс. Соглашусь всецело с Zhanna Robinson Вы настоящий художник и мастер своего дела. Что это за чудо в маленькой пластиковой коробочке в форме золотистых кусочков не могу догадаться сломала уже себе голову, буду очень благодарна за ответ.
Благодарю Ирина! Это измельченная полупрозрачная глина с добавлением перламутровой или золотой пудры!
Гениально, в жизни бы ни догадалась сама! Взамен делюсь своими догадками и опытом. Вырезаю необходимую форму. СЫРУЮ глину тонирую маленькими круглыми пятнами различного цвета пудрой, затем капаю МАЛЕНЬКИЕ капельки финишного гель лака и держу в УФ лампе 2 раза по 60 секунд вытаскиваю, тампоном смоченным в спирте смываю пудру. Остаются цветные красивые разноцветные кружочки-капельки. СЫРУЮ глину аккуратно текстурирую грубой зубной щеткой всю форму, и снова сверху тонирую полосками пудры в три контрастных цвета. ЗАПЕКАЮ, покрываю обычным глянцевым лаком все поверхность сверху. Изнанку делаю как всегда.

Why do you repeat adding colors and inclusions several times instead of mixing everything together all at once? Is it so the finished stone will have veins and inclusions of different sizes?
Henrietta Foster from what I've tried with other things, if she mixes it all together it will become a mush of colors instead of a lot of separate colors and shapes. so she's layering them without really mixing them to get the final result.
