I adapted this method by shielding each side of the fold-line, then using my heatgun. Sides stayed firm while line was soft enough to fold 90deg. Remember to over-fold to allow for some springback. Thx for the video of how the Pros do it
I would love to have just one day with this badass machine. I want to bend a large acrylic sheet into a over ottoman coffee table. The sheet would have to be over two feet wide and close to 6ft long...lol. I'm not making some contraption at home to experiment with such a big piece.
1 how to bind/join transparent polycarbonate sheet to make a box? Will acrylic grade glue/polyfix can be used ? 2 How much thick sheet will be sufficient to withstand hot water upto 45 d celcius ?
Great video! I'm starting a project where I will need to bend polycarbonate (High Impact) sheet (20-40mm wide) in order to build a "portable base" for our product....which is light, easy to work with, high impact, anti corrosive, etc. Two (2) questions, if possible? 1- how thick are those sheets? 2- what type of resistance is being used? voltage/watts? Thanks for the upload!
i had issues to bend a polycarbonate sheet 6 mm, always get bublees whitout any results, i tried to turn around like a burger during a few minutes and works, but the problem is after the first bend, i need do another and the first bend dont allow me do the same, what can i do? i do all this in 250 c

I first thought same but realised that the principles were instructive and so I was able to adapt the process with a heatgun and some cement sheet cladding as heatshields. Just keep an open mind and you'll always find ways you can innovate from how the Pros do things.

Hi, does this method allow you to bend 5mm clear Lexan without leaving any bubbles? Thanks
Hey great video :-) What camera did you use for it infrared footage?
Thanks! I used the Flir One

Air bubbles are caused by moisture in the material or overheating.
Hi there, do you think you would be able to bend Multiwall polycarbonate using ye your machine. Say 10mm / 16mm - 4 wall PC?
Hi! Let me get back to you on that one
Sure. Have ordered 10mm / 4 wall PC. So will try different methods too and let you know result.

I want this machine please give suggestions

This video is a joke. Like the average guy has this equipment at home?
The title is bending sheets, not how to bend sheets at home. Are you also mad at videos making gold bars, as you do not have gold bars at home?
@@Protocorner Then who gives a shit.
