    Just ordered one like this, minus the auto steps. I won't get it for 4-5 weeks, but I have wanted a 4R since I was a kid, just couldn't bring myself to pay $50k for any vehicle without Apple Car Play. It definitely doesn't have the bells and whistles of my Acure MDX, or our Subaru Ascent, which this is replacing. And it definitely doesn't have close to what the Kia Telluride, I was about ready to sign for, has. But, right before I placed my deposit on the Kia, I came across a dealer that had an order going in for a Nightshade. So we tried to find one to test drive. No luck, but, we did find a TRD Premium, it felt so much better than my Ascent or the Telluride, I loved the body on frame and ride height. Both the Subaru and Kia are nice vehicles, but just didn't create close to the same feeling of driving the 4R. The only thing that we came across that even came close to matching the effect was the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and we weren't ready to deal with the reliability issues of the Jeep. So, a Nightshade it is, now just have to wait.

      Hi- How much of a deposit do you have to put down when ordering a truck? Or, do you have to pay for it in advance?

    • @CRHK88
      @CRHK88 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fatkaiju6209 All of the dealerships we were working with just wanted a $500 deposit, although they first had to pull credit and keep a credit app on file. I am not sure how the ordering part worked though, it sounded like they had a limited amount of orders and in my case, one remaining 4Runner.

    Wait a second. Did I hear that right? If you do remote start, once you walk up to it and open the door the engine will shut off, requiring you to start it again? Seems like that will result in a lot of unnecessary start/stops.

    • @bohan9957
      @bohan9957 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it's a Toyota safety feature. My Lexus does this too.

      You can start it and stop it a million times and won’t hurt shit.

      @@leftoversoversigjt7719 Plus most of the time you don't need to do that. I can take the heat, just open windows in summer when you get in before AC gets cool. It's only frosty/iced/snowy windshield when you are running late that you really want to remote start it. Then on the way home it's afternoon and not really cold or frosty....so winter mornings sometimes is it.

    Take out that dumb 3rd row seat and add the cargo tray. Also add heated steering wheel, blind spot monitoring and panoramic sunroof since I doubt it will be taken out to do some serious off roading.

      So you won’t do what my coworker once did. She remote started her honda from in the house and when she got in the car she realized she had to pee. So while the car still running, she went back in the house to the bathroom, she took off her pouch (which had her key in it) before she pulled down her clothes to handle her business. She forgot to put her pouch back on as She went back out to her still running car, she got in and somehow didn’t notice the no key detection buzzer because she hadn’t had her caffeine yet. Lol she drove all the way to work and shut off her vehicle before she realized her key was still at home in the bathroom. Luckily her adult son who still lives with her was able to bring her key to her job when she got off.

    This SUV looks good , but tech wise very far behind . For 50K lot of features missing like blind spot,heated steering wheel etc.. list goes on.

    17:38 I find it quite intriguing that Toyota decided to carry a decimal place for the temperature display. I highly doubt the automatic climate control is that precise, and humans can even detect half a degree of change!
