i like how even with the raptor on his tail, guy stopped to admire the Pteranodon above first instead of getting in quick lol. Still, It was really tense when it took forever to lock the door. Had me anxious ngl. Beautiful work.
Remember Spielberg wanted the Ray Arnold death to happen on-screen but delays from the Hurricane Ibiki incident never saw that come fruition. Your fan-worshipping here will also be laughed at by upstarts whom far better skills. So let's not point fingers.
this looks and sounds amazing. good job. but heres some constructive criticism: I think you should have only left the shots from the camera pov. seeing the raptor shots took me completely out of the experience and degraded the horror element. try applying the alien logic; we fear the unknown, henceforth, dont show the raptor at all until its final attack, show glimpses of it like when the character hides under the table. but dont reveal the threat in the middle of the film by showing the raptors pov or its legs running through the jungle. i feel like you just had to leave the camera pov and this short film would have been perfect. anyways, you did an amazing job with the animation quality. i hope to see more in the future!
nice work! though a slight critique, if you're going to title it as a found footage film then you shouldn't get the pov shots of the raptor or be able to see its reactions to change unless the cameraman is directly observing them doing so. Analogue horror short film would apply better, but, other than that really impressive work, keep it up 👍

I love how the computer voice reminded me of Dino Crisis. The raptor cut aways take away from the tension because the title claims to be found footage when the raptor should be a surprise. Cool vid.
Man, having electric only locks is the worst idea. Someone fire the builders who came up with that idea. Anyways, this was fun, though the raptor teleporting under the table in 2 seconds was rather silly. I did get a laugh though because I thought it was just clipping its head up through the ground. I agree with some other criticisms around here. Still, I enjoyed~ Hope you do more.
Probably for convenience and the thickness of the door requires an magnetic lock powered by electricity to hold back without succumbing to external forces easily. Like the raptor banging on it didn't break the lock, it must be strongly held
Fantastic work, congratulations! Maybe release also a 2nd edit with just the human's POV / camera without the Velociraptor's? Thanks again for your work
I actually like the blend between "found footage" and "cinematic" it felt like we were watching two narratives. The more gritty "found footage" was the prey, while the more "cinematic" was the hunter. I think you should lean more into it. You're on to something.
You know it's just either people who were not supposed to be on set or it's other people who worked for the movie that went off on their own. And it's also scenes from the movies that the director clipped off the actual movie. So the movie wouldn't be longer than it already was.
Am I the only one who caught just how unrealistic the end is? The raptor's body no clipped in the backrooms while it found out how to shrink below 2 feet. Raptors averaged 5-8 feet, erect, and even bent so low, the table is too narrow for it's biomechanics
I think it's a mistake to show the velociraptor or where it is before it's actually killing the guy. It makes it less scary by taking away the surprise factor.
And that is why we need to have redundant systems in case something LIKE THIS! Doesn’t happen! God hoping people actually have horror movie logic when it comes to building secure locations.
Really good stuff, solid tension throughout tho that final raptor shot was a lil awkward. I don’t get how it got down there that quick. That’s about my only criticism.
Not criticizing the quality of the video, its amazing. imma criticize the character choices as if it was a real person As soon as it jumped onto the table, He should have tried to run outside the door and close it, it can bash his head as much as it wants but the door swings only to one side
@@JermaineGrant hey, thank you so much of acknowledging me! My comment isnt quite a critique, because of course if he made the right choices he wouldnt be killed and the animation wouldnt be as fun. And for the quality of the animation it is ABSOLUTELY SUPERB! 10/10
Wouldn't the lock hold, even without the power on? Like, the power enables the on/off switch, right? If the key fob to my car stops working, my car doesn't suddenly unlock itself. I would be locked out of it until I get the fob fixed, or until I find a physical door key.
Analog horror puts you in the shoes of morons that need to die in horror movies. The power goes out so the doors unlock? How? There’s no power. He’d be trapped with no way to unlock them in that situation. Not to mention could you be more ridiculous with the locking in the first place? They seriously want to annoying you to death with these.

I love the detail of the raptors having birds like pupils!
Define irony: Complete amatuers to a well-known genre of films know how to do it better than veteran directors.
I'll take that as a compliment! Thank you!

Mind-blowing that there's no simple, manual locks on the doors. Spared no expense, except for basic safety precautions.

neat but why the fuck would the power just go out? and why the fuck would the door unlock
Except for the original 1993 film, this is way better than all the JP/JW movies

This is absolutely brilliant, that shot of the raptor entering the building reminded me of the kitchen scene tension wise!
