Hello Bob. I learned the van life from you. 4 years now. Takes a bit to get use to live without all the junk. The freedom is amazing. I am on the east coast. Even my wife likes it. I am the same age as you. I only hope i can do for another 20 years. We are much more healthy. Thanks again.
PowerOak, the parent company of MaxOak and Bluetti, is an OEM for Energizer, and making power stations for Energizer using Bluetti features, including the LCD screen design.
$900 on the Amazon link, did not find additional coupon. Impressed to see LiFePO4. Personally, for a modest size van, I'd prefer 2 smaller units, one >100ow for 12v fridge and one equal or smaller for all else and to back up fridge when charging. I can't discreetly charge or lug around 80 lb. but it does deserve a good look at specs/durability for those who can manage this size. 2 yr warranty.
I agree. I have an Ecoflow Delta Max and it weighs (they say) 40 lbs. and it is pretty heavy so I can only imagine the weight of 80 lbs. For the price it is good if you can manage a way to set it up and never have to move it again.
Yeah, Bob, I already have two of their small 320 watt ones, and they are great. I saw this deal and jumped on it. I was so happy I bought a second one. So now I have two of the big ones and two of the small ones. I'm currently living on the grid, but I have lots of blackouts, so...😊
I was offered the $300 coupon off of $1000 basically for my first one. Then the second one I bought about a month later they offered me Another coupon, which was actually a better deal than my first one, so I am thrilled. Plus I have my original two small ones from Energizer. Very happy with these units. I'm all good now.
I just want to say thank you. All this information on your channel is helpful. You really helped me through a difficult time in my life, more helpful than you probably know.
My camping needs are very basic. I have had the Energizer 70 for several yrs. I runs my lights & charges my phone for several days with no solar. I feel they have the best bang for the buck without all the fluff.
I’m glad I saw this vlog because propane or butane for heat I was question myself. Mainly I’m doing a shed to home. Right now for heat for winter no snow 35 to 55 or 60 winters.
Just followed the link and see the price is $900 with 10% discount. I did see the $300 discount coupon. Still a great deal, but by the time your video posted, it was gone. Glad you bought early enough.
Wow, that's an incredible deal! Thanks for the review and the way you did it. Sure, we all may want something like a Bluetti, but it's good to know that those of us who can't afford the big names have a quality viable option. Thanks, Bob!
I just got the Ecoflow Delta Max 2000 during Amazon Prime day. I paid $1,100 for it (It is currently $1,400). It has 2016watts output and weighs 46lbs. It is expandable, it has UPS capability. I will be using it as an UPS for my computer room at home in the winter, and it will go in my off road trailer in the summer. My trailer also has a 2,500watt dual fuel generator. Doing the math, I should be able to charge the Ecoflow from 25% to 100% in an hour. The generator uses about 3/4 of one gallon of fuel per hour, but that is at full output. The only electricity my trailer uses are LED lights and a mini fridge (stove and hot water are propane). I am confident that I will have all the electricity I need for about $4 per day running the generator for one hour per day. I always camp in a forest, so solar panels would be just throwing money away. I have a 1200watt sine inverter for my truck. I will probably set it up, so that it is charging the Ecoflow while I'm driving. That way I arrive with a full charge.
remember oem alternators can't take a big drain like that for long, and they are lower in amps, so install one that is built for a constant full on 1200 w load that will charge your unit like a house plug would. And also run your cabin fan (500w@max), spark plugs, headlights, stereo, rear defrogger, etc
The Bluetti EB240 is only $799 and is a 2400Wh power station with a 1000 watt inverter. That works out to just 33 cents per watt/hour. The battery chemistry is Lithium Polymer and the maximum solar input is 500 watts.
I like your channel. I just stumbled across it by accident but if you don’t mind I think I’ll subscribe and pick your brain for a few years. You sound well educated. Thank you for your informative videos. I’m gonna binge watch em.
Love what you do for all of us, Bob. Must say tho', I just can't take my eyes off that TENT!!! I can't make out the brand. Gonna try my phone and do a screen shot. Thanks, thank thanks, bless you and stay safe .
I bought the Duracell unit at Costco a few years ago (not LifePo) and one of the quirks was that if the power goes out or you can only charge for a limited time, the unit would not charge any more than the level you reached. Luckily, it was a Costco purchase so I was able to return it (along with 40% of the other purchasers). So now, that is one of my first tests. Things we learn along the way that wouldn't even occur to us to check are so valuable to share with each other. Thank you for always being honest in your reviews even though I'm sure Bluetti is not going to love this one!
To expand on why LiFePO4 is superior, look at the Jackery with standard LiIon battery being rated for 500 cycles of use whereas most LiFePO4 batteries are rated for 2000 - 3000 cycles of use. It's such a vast improvement in tech, it's like going from incandescent to LED bulbs.
Thanks for this info. I'm just starting my Nomad life. Just retired & actively looking for a 5 window school bus to convert. The solar part is the most intimidating to me.
Looks like made in the same factory as Bluetti, some of the same parts used visually so assume some of the same internally. Looking at my AC300 right now. But I do not see the discount coupon
just searched Amazon- looks like they are not listed currently- ...let me know if I am just not seeing them-...i searched the Energizer PPS2000- only the lower models came up...let me know if you plan to sell any of your test models- Thank You, Bob- very clear and focused reviews- BTW- Peace and Love
I don't understand why not just get 200 amp ( more wattage ) lithium battery(s) for @ $450, $ 100 for an mppt controller and a 2000 w inverter for @ $125. Not as pretty and perhaps not as convenient but cheaper. Plus, if one piece fails you just replace it rather than rip the unit apart for repairs.
Because most of the people Bob talks to are in smaller vehicles, and there isn't enough room for all those gadgets. I have that kind of set up in my van, but these new ones are becoming so much less expensive!
Lots of people aren't comfortable doing that and this really is pretty decently priced even at 900. Your 675 dollar price goes up quite a bit once you include cabling, fuses, tools ect. If you don't need more than 2kwh of storage this is a decent option. Where these all in one units really fall down is if you need more capacity. It's why I'm in the process of planning a diy system for my rv.
Great if you have the space to do that and the know how. For a small SUV or car it is harder. My RAV4 really does not have space for that. And I don't use it every day, only for about four two week trips a year. I can barely get by with a Bluetti EB70 on the rear floor on one side and the 200 watt solar panel on the roof in the day while parked at the beach. I make it work. Cloudy days I find a 110 volt plug to use. Sometimes it is a campground with extension cord run to the car but I also get a hot shower while there. The rest of the time I boondock and find a park pavilion with a plug for free. Many city parks have that.
I'm going to buy a Honda gen in the weeks tto come but i might try the energizer PPS2000 i will use my gen to recharge the Energizer. until i perchase solar panels.
maybe some of the commenters can answer this newbie question: These portable power stations, they are obviously wired to be able to recharge from solar panels. Is it possible to recharge them while driving your vehicle from your van's or truck's electrical system?
Yes through the cigarette lighter port but it will take forever(days of driving) to charge that way. Best is solar either on the roof or portable panels.
yes but.... you can run a cigarette charger cable at only 100 watts, or you can get a dc-to-dc charger installed to run at higher load but you may burn out your alternator.
The 600w bluetti eb3 comes with a cigarette lighter charger. You can probably run lines off battery and make your own barrel plug. If they have an ac charger, just plug 300w inverter into lighter for faster charging time.
Thank you, Bob, for all you do for us! I'm grateful I got to meet you in Pahrump, and look forward to having a conversation some day! (I'm the van with the kayak on top 😏)
Thanks Bob for another comparison on power stations. I probably should bite the bullet and get this cheaper one now. I hope to. Please keep up the good work for all of us.
Thanks for the breakdown. Makes sense to first look at the price per watt as you have. But I suspect that unit has a cheaper battery that won't keep the same charge over time. You get what you pay for these days.
It's not for everyone certainly. However, there's great enjoyment in meeting new people and seeing the diverse beauty of this country. There's benefit in the cost of living savings as well. Care does need to be taken in how one goes about it. Also, age matters as we wind down and become more limited is true.
It's great you like it there. I was raised in that damn desert (Blythe) and spent my life working hard so I would never have to live in the desert again. :)
I’m new at this living little and cozy thing. I’m sure I’m going to love it and I can’t wait to get started and I am open to any advice and teaching moments I can muster up. I have recently acquired ( it’s not here yet) a Montana fifth wheel with a gooseneck hitch. My brother and his wife lived in it for a few years while they built their house. It is a 2006. It’s not brand new but it isn’t a lousey brand either. I can’t stand particle board and refuse to pay for anything that contains it. It swells when wet, period. Do not do particle board. I realize I have a lot to learn. Would like to go solar as much as possible, but I know nothing about generators. I would like advice about that… thanks to anyone who can help…with anything.
You can get power station and mount solar panel on roof to power it. Or pay electrician or camper van company to mount electrical/solar installation and also wood furniture inside if you need. There is companies and people that can help in many places. Any advice i can send if I know, ask 👍
i have this exact solar generator alnd paid $700 during Bluetti's spring sale. Yes i bought it from Bluetti. Nowhere on it does is say its an Energizer.
I got very lucky and got a Bluetti lifepo eb240 w/ 2 sp120 solar panels for $527.00 on a flash sale. When I deduct the sale price of the panels at $140 each I paid $247.00 for the eb240 2400 watt hour power station. (9.7 cents per watt hour). It’s no new technology but it’s still a great power station. I run my fridge on it and it charges to full the next day.
I've been renting for coming up on 9 yrs. No complaints but I don't know if I want to pay rent for another 9 yrs ? I enjoy learning from all your videos. We'll see what the crazy future brings ? We're living in fast times now with the upcoming war we are in. Who knows how high gasoline is going to get ? A lot of uncertainty ?
Great review, thank you. First I heard of energizer in the solar generator market. Hopefully the deal is still on Amazon. Going to pick one up. Thank you again.
great info. If you get a chance check santan solar in arizona for used panels very cheap. may not have what you need but I watch them for sales as they always have stuff coming in. I grabbed a eco delta2 recently ,1800 watts and a big surge wattage for 699 on sale.
Bob, most power stations that heavy have wheels, but for people living in their vehicles, it could be most or totally stationary so weight not as much an issue. Wish they made one a little larger with a 30 amp plug, on wheels, 3,000 watt inverter, 2500 watts of power or so.
Yep they are out that price is like two 1 kwh batteries and an inverter case controller and hook ups for 200 dollars im a diy but this is a steal. Cant build it for less unless u buy from temu
❤ Just purchased this after your review. Amazon $675 after using 25% off coupon. After tax in AZ., $733.05! Amazing price. I have Prime, so the shipping was included. Thnx for the video.
Thank Bob for this video ! I ordered one and if not for you I wouldn't have known of this product. Btw it's now only has a 99 dollar coupon off of 999. Thanks again!
I am in the market for a 2000 + V sol gen but I can barely afford $700 and this gen was no longer on Amazon when I went to look. Please post all the deals you find like this Bob. Many thanks
I'm so glad I put you on all notifications because I'm am to continue my research to make decisions on how to live a sovereign lifestyle. Very interesting also very encouraging
Thanks Bob. Long time subscriber. I was looking at Tocopower Chinese 2000watt power station. But now I would definitely consider the energizer if it's good for 3000 charging cycles. 👍
What will run a rooftop AC. Seems to me that's more important than heat. I have lived without heat. Don't get me wrong it hurts but it's doable. However heat can kill a person. It's more than just uncomfortable it's deadly. What will run your AC?
Great review! 81 lbs whew! Vs 100 amp/1200 12volt watts Li Po4 battery that weighs 17 lbs. Price of Li Po4 batteries have really come down. Under $300 each. I value very much your reviews, after all, you've tried many systems! I'm converting an enclosed cargo trailer to camper. Lucky me, it came with frame on top for solar panels!
Buy this unit, some LiFePO4 100 amp hour batteries, something like a Bouge RV 40 amp charge controller that can charge 12, 24,36, or 48 volt systems, as many solar panels as you can afford - up to 2400 watts, charge up your battery bank, and run your battery bank directly into the solar charge controller port of the Energizer. You could buy this unit and 4 LiFePO4 for around $2000 right now and have 7 kilowatt hours. A 48 v configuration would take 2400w. You just run 48 volts into the Energizer charge controller and it takes however many amps it wants to. If it's 15, you'll get 720 Watts or so coming in as you need it.
Thanks Bob. I am still happy with my ac200p as it has been great so far. I run my van's window ac unit and my fridge from it and a few lights. Been on the road 3 months now and so far so good. The energizer seems like a good deal though, I guess time will tell.
@@CarolHewett-ug2cw Sorry, just now saw your question. My ac is 5,000 btu's and my fridge is a compressor fridge/freezer the size of a large cooler. The ac unit is an energy star rated one from walmart that only draws 360 watts when the compressor is on, and 60 watts when the fan is on. In eco mode, the compressor does not run very often. It keeps the van ice cold even in 100 degree weather. I researched a long time before buying to get the lowest watt usage I could find. It is a Keystone brand. My fridge draws only 60 watts when the compressor is running. I have 720 watts of solar on the roof and, even this past winter, I was still producing 500 watts on most days. Right now, I am pulling in 700 watts from the solar panels. I also ran my diesel heater from the ac200p and I have never had an issue. After 3 to 4 days with little sun, I get out the generator to charge it up but have only needed to do that maybe 6 times in the past 10 months. If you have any other questions, let me know and I will try to answer. I also run my lights, charge my phone and laptop, and charge my EB3A all from solar and the AC200P.
Thanks, Bob. Great information and savings for that much power. I think for the reasons given the Energizer name etc, it just makes sense for many unless their flush with money.
Bob,the 200Max has a 3,000 watt inverter compared to the 2,000 on the Energizer. That’s a huge difference when running a 5,000 btu window a/c unit. The reason people buy the 200Max.
Good point. I have the ac200p and it has a 2000 watt inverter I believe and it runs my van's 5,000 btu window ac unit and fridge just fine for what that's worth. Still, that extra 1,000 watts on the max's inverter would be great for expansion.
I'm trying but when I had the money I couldn't find my rig. Now broke with no job and savings and 401K and jewelry gone, plus the city of NY doesn't want to help. Now my storage maybe its going gone, 2mosalmost 3 late, just personal and a few family trinkets. Begging them for 3yrs, I don't know what to do.😭 Anyway thanks for the hope 🙏🏼 Bob.
Forget the solar panels. If I just go camping with it... no microwave, no AC... but a light or two, radio, computer... coffee maker... how long will the power last?
Yeah, longevity that's the thousand dollar question WITH EVERYTHING. All the test people online rarely take that into consideration. Instead they do endurance tests which is useless for 90% of end users.
I can’t find the energizer on Amazon now. Which is better the bluetti AC 200L or the AC200 max 🤷♂️ both come with 350 watt panel. 200l is 1899 and the max is 1799 would greatly appreciate your trusted advice. Thanks, Chip ( et prepping)
I'm a petite lady so I bought a planter stand with wheels. My Delta max sits on it all the time ready to move into place when I need it.

I was offered the $300 coupon off of $1000 basically for my first one. Then the second one I bought about a month later they offered me Another coupon, which was actually a better deal than my first one, so I am thrilled. I love my Ecoflow Delta 2. Got it & 1 solar panel on a Prime deal for about $800. 45% off regular price
Awesome!

I needed this now! And yes I've been watching you and others for years but this is the first I've seen that sounded possible.
So much wisdom in the last minute of this video. Thanks, Bob.
i have this exact solar generator alnd paid $700 during Bluetti's spring sale. Yes i bought it from Bluetti. Nowhere on it does is say its an Energizer.
Thank you! putting my house up for sale or rent. I want to hit the road in my 1994 Chevy Astro van. This will be one of my first purchases!.
Most of this uncertainty is coming straight out of Washington. The so called leaders of this country are running around lost, and infighting.
Thanks for the knowledge.
Have a great day.
Looking at the build it reminds me of the Hepway you reviewed. Similar manufacture most likely.
Great vid i will seriously be considering this for my sailboat
Maybe one could buy a wheeled dolly to help move it around. Just a thought.
Thanks for sharing this with us!! Sounds great!!
Bob, most power stations that heavy have wheels, but for people living in their vehicles, it could be most or totally stationary so weight not as much an issue. Wish they made one a little larger with a 30 amp plug, on wheels, 3,000 watt inverter, 2500 watts of power or so.
LOVE the work you put in .
Yep they are out that price is like two 1 kwh batteries and an inverter case controller and hook ups for 200 dollars im a diy but this is a steal. Cant build it for less unless u buy from temu
Great find. Thank you!
❤ Just purchased this after your review. Amazon $675 after using 25% off coupon. After tax in AZ., $733.05! Amazing price. I have Prime, so the shipping was included. Thnx for the video.
How did you get the coupon?
@@susanlucas659 It was a little green option under the product price. I clicked "redeem" and discount was reflected at checkout.
Thank Bob for this video ! I ordered one and if not for you I wouldn't have known of this product. Btw it's now only has a 99 dollar coupon off of 999. Thanks again!
The bluetti has a nice phone app that shows/controls everything- does the energizer have an app?
I am in the market for a 2000 + V sol gen but I can barely afford $700 and this gen was no longer on Amazon when I went to look. Please post all the deals you find like this Bob. Many thanks
Awesome information. Thanks😊
Bob, what is the difference in life cycles? Thank you for always providing great information!! Safe travels 😊
I'm so glad I put you on all notifications because I'm am to continue my research to make decisions on how to live a sovereign lifestyle. Very interesting also very encouraging
I bought an echo flow 2000 Delta Max for. $ 1100.00. I can also add another battery.
As of 2:55 p.m. Pacific time October 19th Amazon now only has a $100 off coupon making it 970 after Uncle scan tax
Thanks Bob. Long time subscriber. I was looking at Tocopower Chinese 2000watt power station. But now I would definitely consider the energizer if it's good for 3000 charging cycles. 👍
Just went to Amazon and don't see the 30% off coupon.
What will run a rooftop AC. Seems to me that's more important than heat. I have lived without heat. Don't get me wrong it hurts but it's doable. However heat can kill a person. It's more than just uncomfortable it's deadly. What will run your AC?
Great review!
81 lbs whew! Vs
100 amp/1200 12volt watts Li Po4 battery that weighs 17 lbs.
Price of Li Po4 batteries have really come down. Under $300 each.
I value very much your reviews, after all, you've tried many systems!
I'm converting an enclosed cargo trailer to camper. Lucky me, it came with frame on top for solar panels!
Yeah, I missed this one. It's $999 with a $99 coupon. I hope it goes on sale again!
Energizer should send you free stuff
Energizer and all the other manufacturers hopefully will continue to have prices come down.
would like your opinion on an ANKER PPS... im thinking thats the quality one
Too heavy for me though , I have a 1000 watt jackey I love it . Can’t run my r but keeps me in power for 3 days
I'm so glad u did but USA. They do need our support. Ty
Energizer has a solid product name due to theBunny commercial! Definitely worth a try at such a great price! Thank you Bob for doing a great review!
I understand theEco Flow delta 2 Max is the best and definitely better than Bluetti?.
Thanks Bob. I am still happy with my ac200p as it has been great so far. I run my van's window ac unit and my fridge from it and a few lights. Been on the road 3 months now and so far so good. The energizer seems like a good deal though, I guess time will tell.
I've had my ac200p for 2.5 years. Had it in my van first then rv. Collectively it's run for about 10 months flawlessly
Do you mind telling me how big your fridge and AC is. I'm amazed you can run both off of one unit. I'm looking to do the same. Thx.

Sorry, just now saw your question.
Have you tried a Solar Angle Guide for setting up panels? would it help people learn to get the most out of their portable setup.
The AC200MAX, that I have, has a 2 kilowatt inverter and 2048-watt hour battery as the name plate on the front says.
This is fantastic. Thank you subbed🙏🏾
I could run a tiny 500w heater. That's amazing. I want two of these.
Thank you (again) Bob!
Amazon is selling it for $900. now at 6:56 pm est.
Im just learning. What does it mean when you say you can't plug your RV into it? Also comes to approximately $1093 USD equivalent in Canada.
That looks a lot like the Bluetti AC200P. Similar connections and screen.
It is.
I just saw a Bluetti EB3A 600W on eBay for $209.00, and an AC70 1000W for $399.00. I bought an EB70S and a 120W panel kit for $466.00
I'm trying but when I had the money I couldn't find my rig.
That much wattage would run my DC fridge for 8 days. Coffee makers use quite a it but I bet you'd get 4-5 days
Wow! $700 is a great deal! 😮 ❤
Yeah, longevity that's the thousand dollar question WITH EVERYTHING. All the test people online rarely take that into consideration. Instead they do endurance tests which is useless for 90% of end users.
ok I,m convinced, going to get one. Hope it does good in a Canada winter.
