    Mate, people like you have radically changed the way i view myself, confidence, competence and capabilities. I used to watch vids of people doing mental stuff like this and think "those people are a different breed, they have something i don't they are far better than i could ever hope to be" and it's just not true. You're a normal guy like me, and if you can do it, so can i! I ran a marathon because i saw a guy do it with no training, i did the chase the sun 205 mile bike race because i saw mark lewis do it on youtube, now i'm set on completing and ironman triathlon and after watching this video i want to dedicate a weekend soon to doing the same! You are a beast, Thank you for the inspiration. And to anyone else reading this, just know bigger idiots than you have done it, and i am proof of that, get out there do your best and have fun. You can do it!

    David goggins is one of the most inspirational people that started me on my fitness journey 5 years ago. Always wanted to tackle this challenge but never had the balls to actually do it 😂

    Great effort. I really want to have a crack at this one day. What surprised me the most though from the video is that I recognised all the running routes and realised that you live very near to me! Next time I run past a guy taking to a gopro I'll say 'hi'!

    You did great. You kept it positive, too. That's not easy to do on a lack of sleep. I did this challenge on my bike, which was as tough as any adventure race I had completed.

    Crumbs, mate! That looked tough in a motivational sense. Obviously physically tough to do, but getting the motivation to get up and get going once you're feeling the fatigue must be brutally hard. Huge respect!

    You are definitely an inspiration. I hiked up Pen Y Fan after watching your video. Just to the top and back. It did me in. The thought of you doing it with 40kg on your back pushed me on. This was a great challenge beyond my limits, kudos to you for completing it. Goggins is a machine.

    My wife and I did this challenge a couple years ago in March (which is when David does it normally) the biggest issue for us is that we live in upstate NY and that means snow for the first 3 runs. Once the snow stopped it took a few more runs before the road were finally clear but it is what happens here that time of year. To make it better on the back side we did the same out and back, which was good at the end since we didn't have to think...lol Congrats on getting it done plus it's nice to see a running like me doing this.....I am also a slower runner, but it's still running

    Congrats, Ryan! Been there, done that, didn't get a t-shirt. 😉 Agree, it's stupid but at the time I needed it.
    I'm amazed you showered. I gave up after second run and showered every 3rd one. But I was doing it around march time. I was surprised the challenge was easier than expected. Did it meet your expectations?

    Great video I love to watch people complete this challenge 👊 I’ve done it myself a couple of times and it doesn’t get easier🤔 I changed it up this year and did 6x6x60 and that was even harder in my opinion hoping to do a 8x8x80 later in the year. #stayhard #who’scarryingtheboats #canthurtme

    Well I do agree, this challange is so stooopid that idiots like us just have to do it .=) did it years ago for me the running was not that bad but the Mental side of it was by far the hardest I have done and I have done multible ironsmans and 10-15 hour bikerides .. anyway good work =)

      I enjoy running early hours in the winter months. High viz gear with chest and head lamp.
      Stars look amazing on a clear night

    is it against the rules to have 6 hours sleep and go out in the last hour of the 4 then stagger it back during the day?

      @@RyanCondon so run at 1am-2am then go to bed. then in the next 4 hours run at 8am - 9am then stagger it back like 11am then 2pm then 5pm. That way you are still running 4 miles every 4 hours.

      @@brantnuttall I still don't fully understand your point, I'm not sure if you're giving me advice on how to improve the tactics or criticising the way I did it as wrong?.. Possibly both? I ran every 4 hours on the dot. Thats how I've seen it done on YT from other TH-camrs, it was just a fun thing to do, not taking it too seriously. I also didnt get much sleep and didnt miss a single run.

      @@RyanCondon okay. there is no criticism of you. The way I read the challenge is that you have to run 4 miles every four hour interval. so if you start at midday, you need to run 4 miles before 4 pm happens. then another 4 between 4 and 8pm and then another 4 miles between 8 pm and midnight. If that is the case then it is possible to get 6 hours rest by running between midnight and 1am and then going to bed. then doing the next run at 7am so that in within the 4am to 8am time slot. I have seen it done by other as you have done it but the challenge doesn't say that you have to run 4 miles at the start of every time sector, just within the times sectors. hope that makes sense.
