    I have a McKenna and like it. I am going to get an Exarch or a Chronic. The Exarch, the front flipper version of the Chronic, is D2, while the Chronic is 9Cr18MoV. Do you like a front flipper in D2 or the regular flipper in 9Cr18MoV? The specs are almost identical.
    The Chronic:
    Overall Length: 7.32" / 186mm
    Blade Length: 3.22" / 81.8mm
    Closed Length: 4.10" / 104.2mm
    Blade Thickness: 0.12" / 3mm
    Handle Thickness: 0.47" / 12mm
    Weight: 2.50oz / 71g
    The Exarch:
    Overall Length: 7.33" / 186.1mm
    Blade Length: 3.22" / 81.8mm
    Closed Length: 4.11" / 104.3mm
    Blade Thickness: 0.12" / 3mm
    Handle Thickness: 0.47" / 12mm
    Weight: 2.61oz / 74g
    I are trying to decide. I leaning front flipper.
    Good video!

    Hi! Really starting to dig your channel. If you don’t mind, I’d like to make one suggestion... Your doing great with size comparisons, but I find it easier to get a good sense of how big, or how small, a knife actually is when it is compared to two knives of the same make and ALMOST the same model, but one being the larger version, and the other being it’s smaller (Jr) version. For instance Ontario Rat model 1 and the Ontario Rat model 2. Or the Benchmade Bugout and the Benchmade Bugout Mini. Or the Griptilian and the Mini Grip... I feel like I could go on for hours with these examples, Lol, but I think you know what I mean... And I kinda recommended the Ontario Rats first, because I think they are most widely recognized amongst most people across the board just for the mere fact that they are some of the most affordable. Anyway, that’s just my 2 cents... You two are doing a great job! Keep up the great work.

    Great comparison video and I'm excited to see Civivi doing another front flipper! I definitely like the looks of the McKenna more - I kind of wish the Damascus version had more exotic handle scales though.

      The detent is slightly stronger on my chronic but it’s still Civivi so very similar, I think they wanted it to be easy to front flip for the mckenna

    I've been following Civivi's IG page. It looks like the front flipper version of the Chronic is going to be called the Exarch. It's close but not quite the same knife. The blade and handle sizes are just a bit different. Oh, and I noticed my damascus version of the McKenna has the older type of pocket clip - I don't have flush screws on mine. Wish I did.

    • @NeevesKnives
      @NeevesKnives  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really, that sucks they should always use the flat screws and I thought Civivi said in a video from a knife show where they had the front flippers that they were the same, wooops

    • @justinrowan4069
      @justinrowan4069 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As I understand it, Civivi transitioned to flat screws in later production. Any with the round heads are likely very early runs. My McKenna I just got yesterday has flat screws.

    Good video . I own two Civivi knives . The Asticus in both D2 and their stainless " Damascus"
    They make good knives for the money but CJRB and Ontarios Rat1 and Rat2 are just as good for less money. Still , they are good knives.
    I do have one minor complaint. Take an antihistamine before your next video . Snorting snot every 30 seconds or so did not add to the video experience . Stay safe . Stay well.👍🇺🇸😃

      @Tony Constantinople Ive most definitely had my fair share of just straight destroying knives, doing stupid things with knives was my mo and I took it serious 😆 now I just refinish or resharpen when I need to and I try to avoid destroying my nicer knives.
