Amazing job. So many details! You did a great job. I believe it to be a true story. Why would you wreck your home and then take pictures? Why would you move? I think if you were faking you would stay in the same home.

I lived there in the 90s and heard several distorted versions of this case. I drove by the 3 homes on my way to work for 7 years. The Inland Empire has many cursed homes. Look into Redlands California. Just east of Rancho Cucamonga on the 10 freeway, you will find more and even darker cases. I was part of a rare non catholic group that, if requested, would bless homes with suspected paranormal problems. We did not investigate. We took the homeowners at face value. I did, however, witness things hard to fake. One Pastor was destroyed because, in his pride, he challenged a non human entity to attack him. His life was destroyed. In a few months the man we knew was gone. Days after the challenge, he was injured in a hunting accident. What came out of surgery was not the man we knew. Within a year, he lost every everything. He became a perverted drug addict, armed robbery, and eventually a repeat convicted felon and in and out of prison. I know what will happen if you think yourself someone you are not. All these modern delusional spirit hunters are dangerous. Fake or ignorant makes no difference. The spirit world will not go lightly on idiots. Imprecatory prayer is ALL 99% of untrained Christians should dare attempt in spiritual warfare. Demon cases are not for the stupid to engage.

And the idea of a murderer calling in a Catholic priest to bless the house is laughable. An exorcist priest confirms that everyone in the home is in a state of grace, IOW has made a good confession before he begins to pray.
The fact that Leen’s husband was a murder for hire operative invited dark energies in the first place, then the Santeria just put the evil cherry on the demonic sundae.

    About the symbol:
I previously watched a video about this story and I found an informative comment. The commenter said that in Voodoo, this is a summoning symbol. A practitioner would create the symbol as an entry point for the summoned spirit. You can see that the symbol represents an arrow to direct, and the spirit is represented by the wavy line that follows the arrow. With the similarities between Voodoo and Santeria, I gather that the use of this symbol must be one of the overlapping practices. In that video, it was stated that the first appearance of that symbol in this case was on a wall in the grandmother's house when the blood and feathers were discovered.

Your story telling had me gripped the entire time! Someone had commented saying that they had felt like they were there, and I realized I’ve felt the same listening. The editing is incredibly done, too. I don’t subscribe often but I’m definitely excited to hear more stories from you😅

Sara, I'm so grateful for your kind words...especially your comment about the editing. I spend ages doing the editing, imagery and sound design, which is hard work but I really enjoy snipping it all together. I find that listening with headphones gets the best out of the sound mix, too. But yeah, having someone mentioned the editing puts a spring in my step, so thank you!

This was a spectacular episode! I’m unsure why your channel hasn’t been introduced to me before now, as this is the content so consume on TH-cam, but I am so glad that it was THIS episode that showed up. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Truly spectacular.
And yes, I fully believe the Moffit family was tortured for years by this entity. My family and I lived in a haunted house for over 11 years. The very first house my parents ever bought, having been military, we rented because you never knew when my dad would be transferred somewhere else. He finally retires after serving 24 years, they finally buy their first home, and it ends up haunted 🤦‍♀️ I have many stories, but thankfully nothing like what this family went through (well, we did find a saw blade on the counter that was really old once). Anyway, it’s easy to believe if you’ve experienced it. But I understand the critics. It’s hard to imagine these things can occur, unless it’s in your face and ALL OTHER explanations have failed.
Thank you again! Now, off to watch more of your videos!

Incredible story and very well presented and told, as always. The thing that makes me suspicious, is Deborah moving into her in laws house although there were two properties she could have lived in. The story of Bill junior's being afraid of being alone because of his heart condition has holes in it too, at the end of the day he now had a wife to take care of him, yet still chose to live with his parents. I loved my mother in law dearly but could never of lived with her. Deborah also seemed a tad complacent about the whole thing. Makes me wonder if she, Deborah, was in this up to her neck. Thank you again for all your work. Love your channel

I’m not saying I believe or don’t believe, but Occam's razor comes to mind here. All things being equal, was this supernatural, or was it a family member or some other person who was writing on the mirrors, leaving knives on chairs and so on? Maybe they thought it would lead to a movie…who knows? I’m sure there are a lot of facts surrounding these occurrences that we’re not aware of.
Great presentation though…you kept me interested the entire time.

    • @IntoTheFog
      @IntoTheFog  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Thanks Scott. I think you make reasonable points, but the bit that confuses me is that if they did think it would lead to a movie deal...why didn't they talk about it back when it happened. Instead, they had all these photographs of a trashed house, but they hide it from everybody for over 30 years. If they wanted to go for the Amityville style movie/ book deal, why didn't they do it back then? Anyway, I appreciate you watching, and I'm so glad you found it interesting. This is my first time doing one long story in one single video, so it's encouraging to hear people enjoyed it and didn't get bored. Phew!

Another fabulous story, told brilliantly as always, by you, Peter! You're so good at this, I do hope you're feeling better and better about your decision to move from a podcast to in front of the camera.
I note something about all these 'demonic' hauntings, and that is that there is always an element of religion to it.
Energies are particularly attracted to the religious, or those who have at least had a religious upbringing. Satanism is inverted Christianity, in that it shares belief in angels and devils but perverts the good. At the heart of both is always some anthropological figure. In short, my money is on energetic projection from someone in the house - to which a powerful energy attached itself, communicating in a manner the focus would understand. Huge, labrinthine subject.

By the way… it seems that nowadays people either love the Warrens and their work or think the Warrens, along with their work, was a sham. But, I promise, back in the day if you or your family was having these experiences, you would have thought they were a Godsend as they pulled into your driveway. The reason being is because back then, there WAS no one else who would take you seriously, except the Warrens! It’s not like it is today, where all this is so freely spoken of and there’s ghost hunters and the like. Not to mention their documentation on the subject matter is invaluable.
