Frankly, professionalization is one of the biggest factors in the Canadian men's team steadily dropping down the rankings since the 1987 World Cup. Our women deserve better than a repeat of that story. Continuing to broaden the talent pool, creating more accessible pathways to elite level rugby, and improving funding will be critical to moving the women's game forward in Canada.

Great job! As a long-suffering (but once very optimistic) Canadian rugby fan, I'm thrilled that the Women's game has taken on the profile that it has, and that the Canadian women's team is as good as is now and has been for many years. The England game will be broadcast nationally here, which is great, though it will come on at 11:30pm on Friday night - hardly an opportune time. But I've been able to watch every other 15s World Cup game Canada (Men's or Women's) has participated in, and I'll be watching tonight. I suspect that the hill may be a little steep, but only because England are just so superior to the entire field at the moment.
I’m Canadian, so I’m more than a little biased here. I realize this is going to be a brutal game for Canada, with a strong chance at losing, but Canada has made upsets in the semis before. I would love to see them in the finals again. On another note, adding Will as a narrator went quite smoothly. The only thing I could really criticize is just making sure Will speaks a little more clearly, it’s a little difficult to understand everything even with me being used to Squidge’s breakneck talking speed 😅. That and the mic quality, though I understand this probably was due to time and budget constraints and will be fixed with time if Will stays on. Apart from those, really strong introduction!

Will has a nice voice. I hope he gets more opportunities as the practice will do him a world of good. There were a bunch of times (check out the sentence at 1:15) where he starts speaking a little quickly and just mumbles. So keep at it, build your confidence and relax. Great writing too.

This was really good, well done Will! One really small and very nitpicky thing for me is that (partly because the Canadian halfbacks have similar sounding surnames) it would have sounded more natural to use first names as well some of the time.
Hi! Great first timer for Will! I must say tho that I find Robbie's tone funnier, but theres a clear experience difference. Nobody aces the joke reading and pace the first time you publish a video. As usual, the analysis is spot on, so educative, so rich and the funny comments flying by, that's so you and so surprising at the same time. As another post said, if this means youll be able to post more videos, then keep em coming! It's such good news.
Somehow, it feels really weird to hear rugby analysis this good from any voice other than Robbie's, but I think I could get used to it. Great job, Will!
Honestly the video was great. The only criticism i can give is that there is a slight lack of personality but i trace that mostly to the fact that we can't have any personal running jokes with him. But i have no doubt whatsoever that they will come if he comes up more often

Well done! And the game was beyond all expectations. Could've easily been Canada's for not a few sloppy plays on the goal line. Lots of consecutive phases. Just needed a bit more variety in attack as well.
Maybe try a video where you can play off each other? And appreciate that the in jokes have been toned down a bit here; love the analyses of previous videos to better appreciate the game, but felt like I was watching a Hideaki Anno production in the more recent ones (see what I did there?).
I think this is a pretty blinkered review, but we shall see. Good enough at the detailed level, or the part you want to focus on, but completely missing the wider picture.
