This is amazing work! Although I admit, I would be happy with just manual reloading outside of the menus a la resident evil 4. I Think it would make for a challenge.

With this pack is actually possible (just activating the Tactical Reload codes)
The ps1 version of the hack can be a little bit more vanilla by going into the inventory and pressing r1 + Triangle. That will deactivate the reload freeze as well as disabling auto reload when shooting with a empty gun. Recently the ps1 zip file was updated with a vanilla rotation version for people that don't want the added rotation amount.
The ps1 tactical reload unfortunately as for now is not yet as polished as the one figured out for the n64 (which works as it should, not making the animation if there's no ammo or if ammo is full), but it's functional and will handle the ammo refilling accordingly (additional coding was needed for the game handle ammo when it's not expecting). You just need to remember if you already reloaded or not lol (or else you'll keep reloading without needing it).

Amazing! Does saving the game keep the tactical reload setting or do you have to change it everytime you reset?

@@JBalmoreS The N64 version doesn't save the settings because you're basically modifying the game files using gameshark codes (though you only need to activate them once per boot). As for the PS1 version... good question! I don’t remember testing it. It depends on how the game writes/saves the address used as a flag for the code (the one that disables reload freezing and auto-reload since tactical reload works either way). Either way, you only need to activate it once per session.
