3:00 the "one particular (and somewhat notable) zombie" isn't the first zombie in the cutscene. I think its talking about George when he turns into a zombie. He's notable and he's the only zombie of importance on the map.
Well the reason I said that is because what I was reading was the plot summery for the movie George Romero was filming. So I took it as the notable zombie on the set being the one that starts the outbreak. You could be right though!
What I think happened and why Sally couldnt find the crew or George was that the crew killed George sending him back to the sea to rest, and then eventually were overran and died. Thats kind of what the gameplay is, you kill george and survive as long as you can. Yea he comes back but thats just for the sake of gameplay in my eyes narratively this cycle would happen just once. We see the cutscene, crew helps richtofen, crew kills george, they die too.
16:33 so Richtofen was always doubting Harvey Yena. Harvey wanted to prove to 935 that he is loyal and that he's not a spy. he basically called Maxis and told him that Richtofen is busy with personal projects and that he isn't devoted to group 935. As a result, Maxis told Richtofen to come back to Der Riese and bring the test subjects with him, those being Ultimis. Then Richtofen kept testing with Maxis and that's when he trapped him and Samantha. Then they went to Shi no numa to get the diary then went back again to Der Riese to use the teleporter which then wrongfully sent them to kino and so on..
i gotta ask, will you ever do any sort of out of map exploration on cod ww2 zombies? no one else has done it and im kinda getting sick and tired of waiting for those undiscovered secrets to be discovered, by anyone tbh.
Call of the Dead is a cool map because it takes place during 2011(Moon/nuketown zombies takes place in the near future in 2025). Like Shadows of Evil and Der Esiendrache, COTD is based around popular fan theories and some films(…Of the Dead franchise and Dead Snow). Shi No Numa and Der Reise have three boards placed in areas that can only be viewed if the player is Out-of-Bounds(In the Huts on Shi No Numa, and behind the teleporters in Der Reise). The boards had a location written on them, the fans theorized that the locations were impact points of meteorites containing element 115. So Treyarch took these Fan Theories and made them canon to the overall lore by basing their maps off of them… which is pretty awesome.
I remember playing Call of the Dead for the first time and immediately hating it because of George Romero. I gave it a couple of tries and quit on it. I do like the setting and the lore though and Call of the Dead doesn't bother me as much as it use to now. I still follow the Zombie Storyline to this day. Did you know in the red dome on top of the VR11 theres a 115 meteorite in it. Also curious that you didn't mention the Scavenger weapon. I know theres not much on it besides being made by Harvey Yena but I thought it would get a mention
I was playing bo1 on my ps3 2 players with my brother and it been awhile since we even played bo1 together and the fps was pretty bad like way worse then I remember but I got used to playing in the 10 fps and we made it round 30 on call of the dead and FIVE but we died but it was funny for some reason
Man nothing like that feeling when a new map pack dropped. From WAW to BO2, it always felt special.
It really did. It's a shame that feeling has been lost.
Same. I'll never forget coming back from a week long camping trip and the Gorod Krovi trailer was the first thing I see online 👌
We’re lucky to have experienced that feeling, a lot of players now days never will
This is a great series but this upload schedule is terrible
25:00
Nikolai's "WoH, look, it's blinky light" is so funny
Richthofen zesty af in call of the dead 😂😭
11:25 For some reason I always laugh at this part of Radio Log 4. 🤣
The vrill was an actual secret society during ww2 , which said to have disappeared by spacecraft towards the end of the war

@@ThatWasAwesomeYT oh that could be, to me it sounded like a summary of the map
I love this series because it’s just audio and gameplay going on
I never realized the joke behind “subject N3W-B” until you literally spelled it out💀

10:25 when I first heard that I laughed so hard
I see Call of the Dead, I LIKE!

COTD couldve been so much better but was so good

“dEAR diary!”
I knew he said "Peter McKay" and not "McCaine", whoever wrote McCaine probably mistemembered or misheard that.
Finnaly yay
Can you go out of bounds on black ops 2 campaign? It’s my favorite game and I would love to see that.
It's something I'd definitely be willing to look into if there's enough interest!

Call of the dead best bo1 map who agrees
💯
Naw. Kino without a doubt.
Moon better
Loved getting all the perks from George when you were going for high rounds, this map and nine was amazing for solo plays.
Moon is the best zombies map to date.
