I live in Tucson and yes! It is SO beautiful and magical! The sunrises and sunsets are to die for as are our mountain ranges, hiking trails, 355 days of glorious sunshine. Sept - May makes the summer heat worthwhile. When I first came from back east, I was so homesick. BUT THEN I saw an Arizona sunset for the first time and I got out of my car and cried. I knew right then I would stay forever. That was 25 years ago. To this day, the colors and magic of the Sonoran desert never gets old. Thank you for sharing the magic.

Welcome to my home state, Arizona. It's awfully dry right now but nevertheless still very beautiful. The sun is NO JOKE here. Phoenix for example is called "The valley of the sun" weather can be 60 to 70 and you can still get a sunburn. I recommend ALOT of sunscreen and lip balm. 😂😂 -Gypsie P.S. dont pay for campsite in az. There is so much open and free area's to camp! Also, any national forest land in AZ is free to boondock.
Loving all the different styles of campers/vehicles people have there. The grounds at the campground are beautiful. Makes me miss the dessert landscape. Yeah gotta keep that sunscreen going, and maybe a hat. I got third degree sun poisoning one summer camping there in Arizona. One of my first summers camping. Learned the hard way. When I get homesick for the dessert views in Arizona. I look at You Tube.
My first year full time and I had planned being in AZ right now...sadly borders are closed so I'm still home in snowy Alberta, Canada. Stunningly beautiful too but somewhat colder! Hopefully, next year.... 💙
Hey, just wanted to say I love ur videos and Joey reminds me so much of a dog I used to have named Cody...same under bite..he was sooo cute and so Is Joey!! About ur cooler situation, go to any store like Walmart or DG or dollar tree even and get a plastic basket. U can hang ut inside ur cooker with command hooks and it will keep ur food cold but also keep it from floating and getting soggy. Hope this helps
Chantelle you're making me miss the desert! Can't wait to get back. Have you thought about getting a small collapsible bowl to carry with you for Joey? Maybe clip it to the leash handle. Assuming you carry water with you.
I'm sure many have already said this but just in case they haven't. I've lived in AZ for several years...be very careful with Joey being on dog leash and close to you, coyotes are all over in AZ and all it takes is a second...also hawks...but more the coyotes. Been watching you right from the beginning...keep up the great videos!! :)
During the summer be careful going into these bathrooms you may find some tarantulas, snakes .... especially behind the commode. Mice can be an issue as well. As others have said.... jumping cactus... if you do get one on you use a comb and flick it away from you or it will just jump around on your skin.
Joey is trading rocky ground for soft blankets inside while you make coffee! You’ve traded trees for cacti. Ultimate desert living. I lived in Tucson for a year and didn’t get to see where you were! I’m jelly! ❤️❤️💪🏽💪🏽👍🏽👍🏽 also watch out for the unforeseen stickers that can get in to Joey’s paws or your shoes. Love the area.
Girl, I used to hate the desert until a couple ears later. Now I'm forced into the PNW and while it can be pretty, the desert is MY thing now. I absolutely love everything about it. It's gorgeous.

I can't walk to far because of health issues and I love seeing the areas that I won't be able to see through other's eyes. Also I love you showing us what you eat. I will never be able to be vegan because my husband is a meat and potatos kind of guy but I get so many healthy choices from your cooking that I can sneak in - SSHHH don't tell him - LOL. I used to travel a lot like this, and really love it, but at almost 77 years of age and in vulnerable health, I have to be especially careful about Covid. I cancelled a great long trip I was going to take in my son and daughter-in-law's minivan this past summer because of all that, and may not be able to plan another by the time things are safer. Not wanting to scare you but remember to watch for snakes and watch under your car too. We do have snakes in Az and not the nice kind.
